(4 reviews) The location is unbeatable. The area is walkable to any historical site of your choice. Plenty of cafes and convenience stores are nearby. The apartment is in a well maintained historical building, which is a big pro for architecture enthusiasts like me. If you are a solo traveler with lots of luggage, watch out for stairs, the building doesn’t have the elevator so you will have to drug your luggage over the stairs. It’s not necessary a con, but just a heads up for other travelers. I also wish the TV had cable. Overall, it was a great stay! Only cost 2 euros pp to go from the bus station back to Vilnius ### 5/5 - Excellent Andy This is a worthwhile trip, but beware donot get scammed into paying over the odds to go on a trip there. Cost of entry only 8 euros, but some trips that you buy can cost 150 euro. Get a taxi or train a lot cheaper. ### 4/5 - Good Verified traveller Long walk from train so bus about same time recommended but walk has a few food shops along the way & still a long walk, courtyard large cobblestones so wear thick shoes, boat rides on lake 5 Euro ok, restaurants reasonable and lots of amber shops. Recommend taxi back to bus or train station about 2 miles. ### 5/5 - Excellent Verified traveller Enjoyable boat trip round the lake and good to go in the castle. Instead you will get a fantastic scenery along the lake Galvė with the picturesque views of the old Trakai Castle. You also get a chance to go on a few viewing platforms along the way for great photos or a tranquil moment to enjoy the calm of the nature.
