Peaceful evenings!
We weren’t there but only in the late evenings and mornings, but our time there was so relaxing and peaceful! The cabin is beautiful and so clean!!! The only downfall was the king bed. The mattress is very broken in, to the point of deep crevices. I recommend selecting a different bedroom if you have a bad back.

Beautiful home / perfect location
The Home is beautiful!and in the perfect location just 25 mins from downtown Boone. We felt right at home with plenty of space for us all. There is a small restaurant right down the road from the house that has awesome food. We ate there a lot. Very convenient. The house itself is beautiful!! Couldn’t be better!! We will definitely stay here again! ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing cabin, close to Boone/Hawks Nest
I booked this cabin for my family (5 adults, 3 children) for an annual mountain trip. We went to Hawks Nest for snow tubing and the price/quality of cabins in Seven Devils was not great. I found this GEM of a cabin just over the border in TN. It was an easy 30-35 min drive to Hawks Nest. The cabin was so fun for the kids with the 3 different levels. It felt like an authentic log cabin in the mountains, which is what we were going for. There was ample space, kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms and bathrooms were large and the porches were a great place to relax (with a blanket). There were individual heaters in each room and they heated up quickly and kept the cabin warm. There isn’t much to do (as far as restaurants, attractions, etc.) right at the cabin location but that’s what we loved. A great place to unplug and just relax in a beautiful cabin. And when we wanted an activity, we just drove into Boone. Will absolutely book again!

Trade cabin
We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our Grandchild’s first birthday. Very nice cabin. Very comfortable king bed on main level with nice linens. King bed on main level, Queen bed on upper floor and queen bed in lower level. Nice gas fireplace and front/back decks. That being said there are a few small things you should know. The listing says there’s just one step to enter the cabin………IF you take the 2nd steep driveway to the back porch there is only one step BUT the key provided on the bottom door DOESN’T open the back porch door ONLY the lower level??? So if you have a physically challenged person you would have to drive up the steep driveway, drop them off on back porch, go back down to the second lower driveway, enter that door, go up the stairs to main level and open the back porch door to let them in. It would be much easier if both doors were keyed the same. I found it strange that none of the bedrooms have a closet?? There are dressers but I have several things that I prefer to hang. Overall all a very nice cabin. Would recommend to persons who can navigate stairs.

App State Parents Weekend
This property was a last minute find for ASU family weekend. Overlooked probably because it’s in Tennessee, but it was actually very close to Boone and a much easier drive than where we typically stay in Seven Devils or Banner Elk. The space is really well kept and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked. Beds are comfortable. The cabin itself is very private without being too secluded. The only soul we saw was the dog from next door. My only suggestion is to update the info folder in the cabin. It lists the former owner’s contact numbers. We had a small issue with the pilot light, but the former owner was kind enough to walk us through it. Also be advised you may not have good cell service, but that’s no one’s fault but Mother Nature’s. Perfect excuse to put the phone away ;)
