First time stay at Wild Wood! We booked this cabin a few months ago and it was exactly what we were looking for. I lost my dad 2 weeks ago and we contemplated canceling. Ultimately, we decided to go and are so glad we did. We needed this more than we realized. We loved the remote location, the quiet side of the park was amazing! We drove to Gatlinberg for about a 5 minute stay and realized it wasn’t for us. We couldn’t get back to the quiet side fast enough!! Townsend is a great small town with friendly people. Great location to the Cades Cove entrance to the park. The only disappointment of the whole trip was not seeing any bears but we will be back.
