It provides quick access (\~ 5 miles) to 2 Great Smokey Mountain National Park entrances, one through Wears Vally and through Townsend. You are close to all the area attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg while being in a peaceful hilltop neighborhood with mountain views. The spacious 4 bedroom home has three levels, with porches on the first and second level to enjoy the gorgeous mountain view. When you enter the home on the first floor there is living area with a game room including a pool table and Smart TV(Streaming TV service used) and wet bar. A queen plus bunkbed combination bedroom, full bath and laundry is also on the first floor. As you go up the stairs to the second floor you enter an open concept living space with vaulted ceiling and windows looking out toward the mountain view. The 2nd floor open living area has the kitchen, dining room and living room. The living room has a Smart TV and a gas fireplace for those cool nights. The dining room provides seating for 8 and the bar provides seating for 4\. Off of the living room you can access the massive screened in porch where you can eat at the outdoor table or relax in the cushioned chairs. Walk out the second-floor front door to the amply furnished deck with a porch swing, rocking chairs, gas fire pit and gas grill. This is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening fire and enjoy the view. On the second floor you will also find the Master King Bedroom and a full bath with a jetted tub/shower combo. Continuing up to the third floor, you will find the remaining two bedrooms. One with a King bed and the other with a Queen. These bedrooms are connected by a "Jack and Jill" shared bathroom (toilet & shower) with each bedroom having a separate private vanity area. Come back out of the bedroom and you get a wonderful view over the living room and out the 2 story windows that face the mountains. Parking notes: Our home does have a circular driveway that can accommodate up to 5 vehicles. Amenities: Community pool and fishing pond are are a short drive, 2miles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $5,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The only areas of feedback I would provide is making sure guests know to bring extra wash clothes for the bathrooms; there was only about 1 per bathroom which wasn't enough for a large family. There were two couples, girls 21, 13, and 11, and myself. I asked ahead of time to have extra towels for all those girls with thick hair, and we had plenty. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Best of all was the view; it was spectacular and we got lots of gorgeous sunset photos. We played endless games at the long table and laughed our heads off at the Supermarket Sweep channel on the TV. We aren't shoppers and love going up into the mountains, especially Cades Cove, and this cabin was perfectly situated for that end of Wears Valley. Convenient, but also not long to drive to Pigeon Forge. My youngest granddaughter and I made the traditional early morning trip to Krispy Kreme and got home before the doughnuts had time to get cold. (This was particularly important because my husband always did this with her and he recently passed away.) We did go to the Titanic exhibit, but spent most of our time in Cades Cove even though it was cold and rainy. It's our happy place and a good antidote for our collective grief. This respite was much needed and facilitated by such a comfortable and lovely cabin. If everybody can ever get off work at the same time again, we'll be back. My family of 4 had a blast staying at Hill Hikers Haven. The pool table is a plus, and being able to cool off at the local community pool was perfect. The home is situated in the best part of the area, close to everything. From the climb to the cabin to the views. We got to see many bears with a mama with cubs though it kept you on your toes anytime you had to go outside was beautiful to see. The place was clean spacious and accommodating in every way. We stayed with our kids, grandbaby and my mother. My mom loved having her own space on first floor and the kids loved having the 3rd floor. We stayed on second floor and loved having the balcony where we could all sit and relax. Dining room table was big enough for us all to sit together for meals. Location was perfect. Close enough to get everywhere we wanted to see and then go back to the quiet side of the mountain. Hosts were great with responding to a couple questions we had.
