Astoria Hotel Budva - Montenegro

"Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Astoria Budva. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the Old Town and steps from the beach. Our room was small but comfortable and well equipped, including bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was very good and served in a lovely outdoor setting just outside the city walls. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. There are two things future guests should be aware of. First, there is no elevator. We had to carry our luggage up to the third floor (second floor above reception), which may be difficult for guests with mobility issues or heavy suitcases. Second, the parking situation was confusing. The hotel advertises parking, and before arrival I emailed the hotel and received detailed instructions for a parking location outside the city walls. However, when we arrived, it was simply a public parking lot where attendants had no knowledge of any hotel arrangement. At check-in, we were told the hotel does not have its own parking and that the nearest garage is about a 10-minute walk away. Despite these inconveniences, the great location, good breakfast, beach access, and helpful staff made for an enjoyable stay. I would stay here again, but I recommend guests plan ahead for parking and be prepared for the stairs."

"I booked the reservation because location was great. It looked nice and photos when I arrived there was no one at the receptionist because they don’t work after 10 PM so if your flight is delayed, you will be screwed. However, the restaurant downstairs is open and I think they saw when we walked in and 20 minutes later they came to open the door, which was great. Also, they left a note on the desk, but I did not know that as a person arriving I should’ve been text on WhatsApp or sent an email that there’s a note about my room number and my keys sitting there. There’s no one there. The receptionist is very sweet. The hotel is clean. I didn’t like my room view because we were facing just bushes and trees and it did smell a little bad like fish could be from the restaurant downstairs, which is part of the hotel as well. Room spacious location is amazing. The food is affordable. There’s no coffee in the room which I think it’s a no dealbreaker for me. I like to have my coffee every day. I have to leave my room to go downstairs to find coffee airport was an hour and 15 minutes away drive the people are sweet. Everyone is nice. I didn’t have a bad experience with the hotel just a few things I listed here that I expected because I’ve been a world traveler for many years and I travel with two children who are teenagers. Coffee in room Is impt."

"Amazing hotel and amazing staff, addressed all our inquiries quickly and to our full satisfaction! The room was beautiful too, the only issue I had during our 7 day stay was with the gym - the air conditioning wasn’t working and it was 27 C there. Overall highly recommend, one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to!!!"

"Ogi and Alek were wonderful and truly very helpful at reception. They gave us many wonderful recommendations and were always ready to help. The property is clean and breakfast has a pretty great selection. The property is a very walkable distance from old town, where you may spend the majority of your time during dinners and exploring. The beaches are also very accessible and you can take a quick taxi to places that are harder to walk to. My friend and I would highly recommend staying here during your visit to Budva!"

"Excellent location close to the Old Town. Relatively quiet, away from the beach restaurant row further up the bay. Sea View room was very good ( although better described as Tree View since they obscure most of the view). Breakfast was decent, Hemingway’s bar was goods for food and cocktails"

"For the price, a great little place to stay for a couple of nights. The young lady at reception who checked us in was superb, very friendly and welcoming with hints & tips of places to visit for my daughters birthday. The cleaner(s) were very nice too and great to have breakfast included in aswell. Only a 10 min walk to Buda Centre witjlittle supermarkets within 5 min walk."
