On the ground floor are the large living-dining area with a comfortable sofa bed, the well-equipped, open kitchen, balcony and veranda. On the south side of the ground floor is one of the bedrooms with an original shower / toilet en suite. Upstairs is the second bedroom with shower / toilet and a large terrace. The house is located on the northern slope of the idyllic village of Giens on the Hyères peninsula and is built in the typical style of the Côte d’Azur. It is a non-smoking house. Living room: The 30 sqm living room has a fully equipped kitchen with 5-burner gas stove, oven, extractor hood, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine. There you will find a dining table with chairs, children's chair (Tripp-Trapp), a comfortable sofa bed (160x200 bed for 2 people), games, books, petanque balls, TV, air conditioning, heating etc. From the living room you have access to the 18 square meter veranda and the 9 square meter balcony with sea view. Bedrooms: On the ground floor there is a bedroom (17 sqm) with a 140x190 bed for 2 people and an original, open bathroom en suite with shower / toilet. The concrete cast, knee-deep shower can e.g. B. can also be used for refreshing foot baths. You will also find a washing machine, iron and ironing board, children's travel bed and plenty of storage space in the built-in closet. Upstairs is the spacious master bedroom (32 sqm) with 140x200 bed for 2 people, shower / toilet en suite and access to the 16 sqm balcony with a fantastic view over the entire bay. Beautiful sunrises and romantic sunsets accompany you through your stay. The house is on a slope, faces north and east and is framed by a small garden. WiFi is available throughout the house. You can park your car free of charge in the public car park below the house (vehicles up to 1\. 90 height). In the summer months, the weekly market takes place here, with fresh products and specialties from the region. Free time activities: The area is popular with wind and kite surfers because of the stable wind conditions, with divers because of the local fish species and the well-known shipwrecks, with ornithologists because of the wild flamingos in the salt pans, with hikers because of the romantic Sentier littoral Giens, with families because of the 6 km long sandy beach etc. Surf and kite school 6 minutes walk, diving school 8 minutes walk; Material can be rented there (including SUPs). 30 m away are 3 petanque courts that can be used all year round. 2 sets of petanque balls are available in the house. In the village 3 minutes away you will find a small grocery store, a bakery, café, restaurants, a tobacco shop, doctors, hairdressers etc. In Port du Niel on the south side of the peninsula there is a market with freshly caught fish in the early morning. From the southeast end of the Presque’ile from La Tour Fondue there is a ferry to Porquerolles, a wonderful destination. The house is the perfect oasis and jumping-off point for excursions. We went to the Porquerolles and swam at Plage Nôtre-Dame, but my favourite swim was probably at Île de Rédonne—an amazing place for snorkelling. Vue mer magnifique. A 2 pas du centre du village de Giens et de la plage de l’almanare, tout se fait à pied. Le parking gratuit au pied de la maison est très pratique. Séjour fait en famille avec enfants, mais le logement est parfait en couple ou entre amis. Nous y retournerons ##### Nicolas C. La maison est très bien située (5' à pied de la plage et d'une école de planche à voile et 2' à pied du joli centre de Giens). La maison est très bien équipée et la vue très belle. Le seul bémol serait l'isolation sonore des chambres : la chambre du bas ferme avec une porte coulissante mal isolée et la chambre du haut n'a pas de fermeture vis à vis de la salle de vie. Pas très pratique quand les réveils sont échelonnés. Sinon, tout était parfait et nous recommandons cette location. ##### Sabrina L. Stayed 14 nights in Jun 2022 ### 6/10 Okay #### Bernd D. 22 May 2022 Liked: Check-in, communication Disliked: Location #### Nur bedingt zufrieden (Sie müssen das nicht unbedingt in die öffentlich zugängliche Bewertung aufnehmen, es soll eher der internen Qualitätsverbesserung hilfreich sein) Das Haus ist sehr originell und großzügig, zumal wenn man nur zu zweit darin wohnt. Das EG Schlafzimmer mit direktem Toiletten und Dusch Zugang ist ebenso witzig wie gewöhnungsbedürftig. Ein wenig ist das Haus "in die Jahre" gekommen: Siphon oben riecht, unten manchmal Wasser am Boden (woher auch immer), die Schiebetür klemmt, beim letzten abschließen ging das Türschloss kaputt, das Geschirr war nur bedingt sauber. Die drei Terrassen/Balkone sind allerdings super. Der Blick aufs Mittelmeer ist großartig. Die Nähe zum Dorfzentrum ist sehr nützlich. Unser großes Problem war der Verkehr und Verkehrslärm, selbst im Mai, insbesondere von der unmittelbar vorbeiführenden, ansteigenden Straße, auch unten vom großen Parkplatz. Das haben wir total unterschätzt. Hinzu kam die ungebundene Freude der Franzosen beim Hecken und Bodengras schneiden, Strassen kehren und Laub pusten im Innerort mit unüberhörbaren Instrumenten. Meine Frau wurde nicht müde mir vorzuwerfen, dass ich das alles (als Stadtplaner) hätte wissen können. Sie hat recht. In nachhaltiger Erinnerung bleiben die schönen Fahrrad und Wander Ausflüge auf der Insel oder mit dem Auto in der Region, dazu das tägliche Schwimmen am Nordoststrand. La chambre du bas étant moins spacieuse et sans vue, comme indiqué dans un précédent avis, il me semble plus adapté à une famille qu’à deux couples, d’autant que les pièces communiquent au niveau sonore. Cuisine parfaitement équipée, lits très confortables et personne très accueillante et réactive, sur place, pour le séjour. Nous avons apprécié le calme du mois de février et les longues balades sur le sentier littoral, l’authenticité du village. ##### Kathia D.
