We were rerouted from Toulon to Montpellier because of the storm (always check weather!) and then back to Toulon in an 3 hours bus trip. Once back to the empty Toulon airport around 3 Am there were no shuttle, taxi or Uber. Walked 1 1/2 hour to the hotel using Google map (which is not easy when you lose wifi and do not have cell service). When I arrived at the hotel the receptionist saw my state of exhaustion and just gave me the key to go rest and asked to complete the formalities later. One important feature in my case is the 24 hours reception desk which is not as common in here like in the US. Also the place have quite a good choice of restaurants around at walking distance. We try "le people" and it was pretty good."
