He was the most thoughtful and friendly host we have ever had. He made us feel so welcome, that nothing was too much trouble and that we could call on him for anything. Everything was perfect; from the excellent communication from Carlos, both before our stay and upon our arrival. The villa was the best we have stayed in, and we have stayed in many. Very clean and good quality bed linen, towels and pool towels. We paid extra for the jacuzzi which was an added bonus to the pool. We travelled with six adults, a three year old and one year old. Travel cot and high chair awaited us and Carlos had thoughtfully asked us which bedroom to set the cot up in. Drive to the villa and location was not a problem to us, and we appreciated the quietness and amazing views. We were 4 adults with a 4 and 2 yr old and barely left the villa as it had everything we needed. Carlos the owner couldnt be more helpful, to the point that he took time out of his working day to take us into town when our son was unwell, spoke to the Doctor and took us to the pharmacy. It has a wonderful view of the coast and the surrounding mountains. The house is in very good condition, clean, large and well furnished. The pool was unfortunately still too cold for swimming at the beginning of March, but in summer it is certainly a pleasure. The host Carlos is very helpful and extremely friendly. We’re not spa people so not a deal breaker.Also it was not said that the electricity from the wall unit was an extra. We learned about it at our arrival. The house is great, the view over the mountains and the ocean is spectacular, and the pool is fantastic. We and our 2 children used the pool a lot since it was very hot during our stay in July. We also loved the new area with the jacuzzi. We also want to mention the host. He is very friendly and helpsome. Any issues are fixed asap. A great welcome and tour of the property, and he was available during the week to help with restaurant bookings etc. The property is superb, well equipped and enjoys fantastic views. It is completely private with a great pool, hot tub, outdoor cooking area and multiple places to sit and enjoy the facilities and views. Be aware that it’s a little drive up from Torrox into the top of the hills but you soon get used to that. It can only be accessed by a car though, walking and public transport would not be possible but it’s worth the effort for the views and the privacy. Highly recommended. ##### Martin T. This was my first time in a villa and wow I was impressed. The Villa is amazing and looks just like the pictures, it was perfect. The villa is massive and there is plenty of space indoor & outdoor to have your own space if you need it. We loved the jacuzzi and the newly added gym, I used this everyday and doing yoga up there was perfect and a great way to connect to nature. I run and I managed to find a nice 5.5mile route, it was hilly but amazing views. The rooms are big and have plenty of storage, the beds are nice and comfy too. The bathrooms are lovely and the showers powerful. The pool area is perfect and it's very private. The views of the mountains from the pool are epic! Watching the sun come over the mountains is a must. Carlos was the perfect host, his communication before and during our stay was great, if I needed anything he was on hand and replied really quick. The only thing I didn't consider was the amount of biting insects, obvs there is nothing Carlos can do about this, as your up in the mountain but take plenty of mozzie wipes/spray with you. The villa was spotless and has everything you need. We used the aircon in the evenings for the week and the cost was nothing. We would love to return for another stay if we had the opportunity. ##### Hayley M. By far the best villa we have stayed in. Carlos greeted us and nothing was too much for him , he was a great ! The villa was spotless throughout, pool was amazing, veiws were amazing, gerdens were even better. A car is a must, it was a further drive up from the coast then where we usually stay but i quite enjoyed the daily drive. Did the drive put me off? No way! Once at the villa its amazing. There are so many places to relax both together or privately. Carlos is such a good host, available immediately for any problems but also doesn't encroach. He is such a nice man! The house is better than in the pictures. Its so well equipped with utensils crockery herbs tea coffee, all the essentials. Air con in all rooms, good wifi and cable channels. Agree that you the climb down and up to the house is something you might only want to only do once in a day, but you can't get those views without that climb. Loved it Carlos and his father have created a wonderful getaway located within a short drive to Torrox. The accommodations are bright, spacious, well equipped and clean with a panoramic view overlooking the surrounding area, Torrox and the Mediterranean Sea. The property also has a pool, hot tub, table tennis and lounge chairs to relax. We were even able to pick a few ripe oranges for our breakfast right off the tree. There are avocado, almond and orange orchards nearby. Carlos responded very quickly to any questions or concerns we had. Suggest getting groceries from Mercadona in Costa-Torrox (free underground parking if you spend 20 euros in groceries). The drive up to the villa would be sketchy at night but OK during the day. Be sure to visit the sights in Malaga on your way to or from the airport. Enjoyed the walk along the beach in Costa-Torrox. Best host ever...Thanks Carlos... ##### Paul K. From the moment Carlos meets you he is beaming with a smile and the most friendly welcome, it just kick starts your holiday. It’s around a 15 minute drive up the mountain following Carlos for the first time which is a lovely touch so you feel more comfortable with the drive before he shows you around the property and makes you feel completely at home. Like previous reviews the pictures simply do not do this property justice. The views in every direction are simply breathtaking. There are so many different areas on the terrace so you can enjoy the mountains or the ocean in the distance overlooking Torrox. We stayed as a family of 4 with our 2 children aged 14 and 15\. The swimming pool was a big hit and we had many hours of fun. Inside the property is set on 3 floors with all the amenities you could possibly need. A car is essential I would say for this property as you are up in the mountains. We will definitely be back in the future to enjoy another idyllic escape. ##### Kevin F. The villa was much better in real life and what was more important was the host Carlos. We were a family of 8, 2 grandparents, our 2 children and their spouses and our 2 grandchildren. The property pleased all of us. Yes, some people may find the final 500m of the road up a bit hairy, but once you have done it a couple of times it is not difficult. The drivers, our son and son in law quite enjoyed it. However, the journey is well worth it for the quality of the villa, its amenities and the stunning views from all angles. Carlos was an extremely pleasant and helpful host. On the Sunday morning my daughter dropped her wedding ring down the sink and into the waste pipe. Within 20 minutes Carlos was there with an amazing gizmo to retrieve it to everyone’s relief and joy. I am not sure all hosts would be as helpful as this. A big thank you Carlos ##### Carl J. From our first communication with the property owner/manager, Carlos, til the final "adios", our experience was outstanding. We stayed in this beautiful Torrox villa for four weeks, and had family members visit for two of those weeks. The property is exactly as pictured, and is enhanced by Carlos' superb customer service. We arrived after dark and were provided with driving instructions for the meeting point. We were thankful Carlos was there to escort us up the windy road to the property, high above Torrox. With a lofty hilltop location, we were expecting the climb, but finding our way in the dark would have been a challenge. Carlos is deservedly proud of this property - in his family for years - and showed us every detail. He made himself available at any hour, and when we called on him with questions, he responded immediately, and always with a smile. The home itself has fantastic views and is pristine. The house is well-equipped, and the beds were firm and very comfortable. With a four-week stay, we were provided with linen service weekly (bedding and towels) and there is a washing machine on site for personal laundry. With February/March rainy weather, we used the indoor fireplace every day. Wood is at the guest's expense, however, Carlos supplied us with kindling free of charge (we found it to be unavailable in stores or the local garden centre, where we bought our wood). Split units are in each room for heating/cooling. I can't recommend this property highly enough. ##### Jane C. In this case the property far exceeded our expectations - this villa is a slice of heaven atop a beautiful mountain! Carlos is an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. Communication at the time of booking, before our arrival and during our stay was immediate and so helpful. The villa is so spacious and welcoming and full of thoughtful touches. We enjoyed fresh morning juice from the orange tree and watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the horizon every day. Carlos thoughtfully helped us navigate the winding road up to the villa on our first day (we arrived in the dark) and although it is nerve wracking at first we soon got used to it, although we organised our time to make sure we only descended and ascended once a day. The climb is really worth it for the fantastic views and the seclusion. Carlos explained where we could buy wood and we enjoyed the fire indoors at night. The outside space is top class. We paid to use the spa and it was lovely to have a dip in the pool before using it. There is plenty of seating for dining and relaxing in all the areas. We didn’t use the fire pit but it is a lovely addition to the space. We stayed as two couples and didn’t want to leave! Overall we would thoroughly recommend the villa and would love to return if we can manage to reserve another time. ##### Helen T.
