We like this hotel, the decor, the rooms, bed and bar/breakfast area. Breakfast has a fairly good choice. Drinks are reasonably priced. The only slight negative is the free "cocktail" you don't get to choose a cocktail from the cocktail menu! You are given a "house cocktail" in a water glass that does not taste of much, it's hardly worth the bother. It would be better to be given a discount from the cocktails on the menu. After attending a concert next door in the Plymouth Arena when we got back to the hotel and tried to buy cocktails we were told that they were only doing 'long' cocktails. Window was single glazed and my room was facing the room so there was a bit of road noise. There was only one power socket that I could see and it was at the kettle. Bathroom was fine although the shower screen also squeaked. Decor was dated but the bed was comfortable. It was good that there was a pool. It was 10m but that’s okay to get a few lengths done. I used the sauna too but didn’t use the gym equipment. For someone on a budget this hotel is adequate enough.
