Find hotels in Tomice from £51

The best area to stay in Tomice is in the village centre, particularly around the main square, for its convenience and access to local amenities.

The village centre is the heart of Tomice, offering a concentrated selection of local shops, a few traditional pubs, and eateries. The main square often hosts local markets and events, providing a glimpse into village life. It's also where you'll find the local church, a prominent landmark.

Families will find the village centre particularly suitable. It provides easy access to local parks and playgrounds, and many accommodations offer family-friendly facilities. The ability to walk to local shops for essentials and enjoy meals out without extensive travel adds to its appeal for those with children.

For couples looking for a quiet escape, staying slightly outside the immediate village centre, perhaps on the outskirts of Tomice, can offer more secluded accommodation options with views of the surrounding countryside.

The best time to go to Tomice is typically during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) months.

During these periods, the weather is pleasantly mild, with comfortable temperatures ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Central Bohemia Region. There's less rainfall than in summer, and the landscapes are particularly picturesque – think blooming flowers in spring or vibrant foliage in autumn. You'll also find that these shoulder seasons offer a more relaxed experience with fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the serene atmosphere and the opportunity for leisurely walks through the countryside or visits to local vineyards without the hustle and bustle. The mild weather is superb for enjoying outdoor activities like cycling along the Sázava River or exploring historic castles nearby.

For families, these times provide a comfortable environment for children to enjoy outdoor adventures. The cooler temperatures make hiking and visiting open-air attractions more enjoyable, and the smaller crowds mean a more relaxed pace for everyone.
