9.8/10 Exceptional! (211 reviews)
First time in Portugal, so we hadn’t heard of the Martinhal properties before booking the trip. We stayed in various areas but ended in Lisbon, where we stayed at Martinhal Chiado. The front staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and even gave us a heads up about departing from LIS (itself a challenging experience). We were quickly introduced to the kids club, and were warmly welcomed there as well - the kids ended up loving it there and never wanted to leave! The rooms were very spacious, complete with a full kitchen and a combo washer/dryer. Our room had a leak so we were quickly relocated to an even larger apartment room, this one with a loft. Very impressive! The location is excellent, within blocks of Time Out Market and the tram station. There’s street parking only, but you won’t need a car anyway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are grateful to the staff who went above and beyond to make us feel at home!

"We really loved the room decor tastefully decorated as Knights of the Templar. The hotel was beautifully situated at the bottom of the castle and convent on top and the edge of the small village below. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful. A ..."
