This requirement helps support the local community by ensuring that long-term housing remains available for people who live and work in Tofino. Guests have full and private access to the entire holiday rental they have booked. The only shared area is the driveway/parking area. The caretaker has their own separate living space, so guests can still enjoy the privacy and comfort of the holiday rental throughout their stay***

Located directly on beautiful Chesterman Beach, Surfside Lodge offers the perfect coastal getaway. Unlike many beaches, Chesterman Beach features wide, flat stretches of firm sand—ideal for long walks, beach runs, biking, and soaking up the incredible Pacific Ocean views. The home is nestled among old-growth forest with direct access to the beach, this bright and spacious surfside retreat combines the best of nature, comfort, and adventure. With beachfront access, ocean views, a private hot tub, newly built custom sauna and all the comforts of a home, Surfside Lodge is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and experience the beauty of Tofino.



Kitchen & Dining (second floor): The upper-level open-concept living space features a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with everything you need to prepare your favourite meals. The spacious dining area opens onto a large outdoor terrace through sliding glass doors, where you can enjoy ocean views, fresh coastal air, and BBQ meals with family and friends. A powder bathroom and washing machine and dryer are located just off the kitchen area for added comfort during your stay.



Living Area: The inviting living room offers comfortable seating, stunning surroundings, and a cosy gas fireplace—perfect for relaxing after a day of surfing, beach walks, or exploring Tofino. Enjoy après-surf cocktails, film nights, or a quiet evening by the fire.

The third-floor lookout nook offers a quiet retreat for reading, working remotely, or simply watching the surf roll in.



The main floor features a spacious entryway and a dedicated surf room with plenty of space to hang and store your surf gear, including boards. From the surf room, you’ll have direct access to the back deck, where a boardwalk leads to the hot tub and beach access. The main floor also includes two comfortable bedrooms and two full bathrooms, making it a convenient and functional space for guests.



Sleeping Layout: The home comfortably accommodates 6 guests across three bedrooms:

Primary Bedroom (Upper Level/Second floor): King-size bed, private full bathroom, and beautiful Pacific Ocean views.

Second Bedroom (Lower Level/Ground floor): Two twin beds, a sitting area, and a large flat-screen TV(this is the only TV in the home)

Third Bedroom (Lower Level/Ground floor): King-size bed with sliding doors opening to the outdoor deck and boardwalk leading towards the hot tub, sauna and beach access.

**The lower level also features two additional full bathrooms, each with a walk-in stand-up shower, providing convenience and comfort for guests.



Outdoor space: Enjoy the upper deck with ample seating, a BBQ, and beautiful views. The spacious lower deck offers even more outdoor amenities, including an outdoor shower and a boardwalk leading to the private hot tub and firepit area with beach access. On the other side of the lower deck, you’ll find an additional outdoor shower/rinse area, perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach before relaxing in the sauna. A beach fire area is also available when permitted. Please note that firewood is not provided, and beach fires are subject to local fire bans and restrictions.

IMPORTANT Things to Know/Host Rules (This avoids complaints)

• No parties or events (no weddings, ceremonies or large dinner parties)

• Amenities listed are those provided with the property (the property does not provide surfboards or wetsuits)

• If you require specific items, please ask before booking and we will do our best to assist.

• Renter's Agreement: All guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.

• Age Requirement: The primary guest making the reservation must be at least 27 years of age.

• Maximum Occupancy: In accordance with Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of six (6) guests is permitted, including infants and children. If the number of guests exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to terminate the reservation and require guests to leave the property without refund.

• Minimum Stay Requirements: During peak summer season (July-August), a minimum stay of 5 nights is required (unless it fills a gap)

• All summer bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps between reservations. During the summer season, reservation changes that create a one-night gap between bookings cannot be accommodated, as we do not accept one-night stays.

• A minimum stay of three (3) nights is also required for all Canadian Statutory Holiday periods.

• DOG Policy: Up to 2 dogs allowed only. All dogs must be approved AND PAID FOR prior to arrival. Guests who arrive with unregistered dogs or exceed the approved pet limit may be required to check out immediately. Dogs may not be left unattended in the property unless they are securely crated. Sorry no cats allowed.

• Quiet Hours: Strict quiet hours are in effect from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbours and the local community.

• VRBO Beachfront Cancellation: We offer a 30-day cancellation policy. Guests who cancel at least 30 days prior to their arrival date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.

• Accidental Damage Protection: This fee is already included in your reservation and covers accidental damages up to $1,000. This does not cover damages caused by parties, unauthorised events, negligence, misuse, or violations of house rules.
