Camelot castle is a perfect location for Tintagel . A short walk into the village which although busy is lovely. The views from the hotel are breathtaking with a costal path direct to the small beach( check tidal times before you go) There is a lovely bar where we purchased drinks and sat outside and watches the sunset. The hotel decor is amazing and have a comfortable lounge to sit on. Our room was plenty big enough with sea view, bathroom had a bath and separate shower too and was spotless. Only thing for me was the bed was a bit too firm. Breakfast was plentiful and staff were professional but also friendly. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We had rooms looking at the castle ruins, and the views here are spectacular. Loved the hotel. Kind of a stuck in time building, right on cliff. Cool decor, cool bar, breakfast kind of *meh* for the price. I loved my room, we had two singles. The only thing is that the bathroom/shower is smaller than that of a boat, which I get since they most likely renovated and you work with the space you have. Room was not big, but was sufficient and nice, and felt clean and had an old school feel of a place lost in time. Would have loved to have more time to just relax there and enjoy the hotel, honestly.

Only stayed 1 out of 4 nights. Hotel itself was lovely, the grounds and surrounding views were stunning but our Classic Double room was very disappointing. Very dated and tired with the smallest ensuite which could not be used comfortably or safely. To be fair to the hotel management, they were sympathetic to our concerns and have re-imbursed us for the nights we didn't stay. Other rooms at the hotel do appear to be of better quality, however, our experience has put us off from returning.

Lovely hotel. Clean and friendly staff. A bit pricey for the stay but to be expected when you're staying in a castle. Would definitely recommend. The views from the hotel left me and my partner speechless, absolutely beautiful hotel with breath taking views.

When staying at the Castle, it's Camelot! The Manager, Mark genuinely cares that your stay is perfect, magical! My stay was marvelous! Be sure to dine at Irina's, you will not be disappointed! The location is perfect. I could walk to town and I went to the Castle and Caves! Doc Martin was filmed here and AA Milne stayed here! This is Tintagel's Best!

I booked this place for the views, and the beautiful sunset certainly didn't disappoint. The building itself is stunning, and the lounge is fantastic—absolutely full of interesting paintings and knick-knacks to look at. However, the stay had its downsides. The building is in a bit of poor condition, with visible water and other damages here and there. The parking lot is also completely unmarked and has an awkward shape, making it feel crowded and a bit hectic to navigate. As for the single room, it was acceptable but felt a bit like staying in the servant's quarters of a big mansion, especially after seeing the grand lounge. The en-suite was just a tiny, self-contained bathroom unit added to the space. It wasn't the most enjoyable part of the stay, but it did the job.

The hotel is situated on a cliff side with beautiful scenery. Very large clean rooms however for the size of the room the TV was tiny. The shower and toilet in the room is basically a room made of plastic with not much room to move around. But does the job.

Absolutely unique hotel, purchased as a family home. The staff are actually household staff of the owners and very helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 117, this is where A A Milne stayed and wrote some of his books! Full of history and if you have time ask for a tour of the artist studios.
