"This is a charming old world pub. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a room that had 2 share bathrooms. The ladies facility included 2 toilets and 2 showers (one of them was over a bath which, if I'd had time would have been great for a soak.) All very clean. Note to staff: the hand towel dispenser needs to be looked at. I'm guessing the gents facility was similar. The bed was very comfortable. "Fantastic place to stay. So many great facilities, from the swimming pool and water park to the playground & scooter track. There are go-carts, kayaks etc to rent out, and free board games & DVDs to borrow if the weather isn’t good. Great little beach area at the side of the river too. The cafe on site is good, and there’s a big indoor camp kitchen as well as plenty of bbqs. If that’s not enough, there are plenty of organised activities during the school holidays, and you’re only a 10min drive...

"Lovely ambience to the room though difficult to book as couldn’t find receptionist. Lovely view from balcony. Warm and cosy large room with great spa bath. What was great was the lovely hotel included in setting with great meals and a log fire."
