Featuring marvelous ocean views, close access to the beach, and space for up to eight guests and their dogs, this home is ready and waiting to make your vacation extra special. Located toward the north end of Netarts, this home is within easy walking distance of the beach, a market, and a deli. To get to the sandy shore of Netarts Bay, you can walk just across the street and past a few houses, and if you follow that shore north a bit you will find yourself on the ocean beach. Netarts has a few restaurants and a grocery store, but if you would like more options you can take a quick 10-minute drive over to Tillamook, which has a large variety of eateries, shops, and activities. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, this home can comfortably accommodate six guests, though up to eight are welcome to stay here as long as a guest is happy on the couch. You can even bring your dogs with you, though please note that an additional pet fee applies. Also, if you have guests driving in from different areas, up to three vehicles can park on site. From the upstairs living room, you can lounge on the many seating options, gaze out the large windows at the ocean, start a fire in the wood stove, and watch some cable TV. Here you will also have WiFi access, a laundry room, and Blu-ray, DVD, and VHS players with a selection of movies. The upper level also houses one bathroom and the full kitchen, which is well-appointed with all the appliances and tools you may need to prepare meals during your stay. Downstairs you will find the three bedrooms ; all with queen-size beds. If you walk outside from the living room, you will discover an ocean-facing deck where you will love to spend time, breathe in the fresh air, and marvel at the views of the sea. This home is positioned right next to Happy Camp Beach and just a mile from Netarts Community Park in the village of Netarts, a coastal community that sits at the meeting point of Netarts Bay and the Pacific Ocean. It's an area well known for its clamming opportunities and for being part of the Three Capes Scenic Loop, a 40-mile car tour that connects Cape Meares, Cape Lookout, and Cape Kiwanda. Beach-goers will have their choice of beautiful stretches of sand nearby, including Oceanside Beach State Recreation Site (two and a half miles north) and Cape Lookout State Park on the Netarts Spit (six miles south). After spending a relaxing day at the beach, head on over to The Schooner, a favorite local restaurant that is right next to Netarts Bay. However you choose to spend your stay, this home in Netarts has a comfortable interior and plenty of space for everyone! Our socks were dirty and brown within an hour walking around on the upstairs floors. Beds were comfortable and the home provided everything we needed for a short stay. The entry stairs lighting should be addressed; the lights were extremely dim and it was difficult to see even during the day time. The home was a short walk to the beach, but the beach itself seemed to be experience some kind of sand shrimp invasion that made it pretty gross to walk on. There are a lot of stairs to get upstairs to the front door, may be difficult for elderly and kids. The front door is also fully glass with no exterior door so it is a bit creepy. There are lots of cooking utensils and they provide laundry detergent as well. There are several board games but most are missing the pieces you need to play.The reason I give 3 stars is communication with the property. it was disappointing to find out the property is ran by a corporation, so you can't communicate with the owners. I booked for two nights and later requested to add a third, and was quoted 90% of the total price to add one night. When I expressed confusion, I was told the price changes up to 4 times per day. Plenty of pots, pans, cups, etc. There is a small propane grill on the back patio (with propane). Nice views of bay and ocean. The beach on the bay is nice and sandy and across the street. It has a public restroom too but we never used it. If you want to walk to where the bay and the ocean meet, it's about 5 or 10 minutes walking to the end of the bay with very long sandbars stretching into the ocean depending on the tide. Most of the beach goers, and there were not many, were either walking or crabbing. Other nice beaches are nearby. Oceanside is at the other end of about 2 miles of one continuous beach. There are tidal pools there and fun rock formations. It has public parking and a public bathroom too. We would gladly stay at this property again. One thing of note, you can't actually speak with an owner. Very nice home. Close to beach. Dog friendly. We stayed for a week and had a wonderful vacation. Property manager was very helpful, addressed a problem with the clothes washer immediately.
