I loved the condo we stayed at. Las Olas, it felt just like home. Luke the owner, made sure to answer any questions we had. His place is incredible and very spacious and clean. We will be going back to this place for sure!

Nice to be by the ocean

It was great being by the ocean, hearing the ocean surf was very peaceful. Overall, the condo was quite nice & where it was located wasn't that congested. There are a few things I think the owner should know - the patio door doesn't close all the way, the screen door was off track and set aside when I arrived. The entire floor was covered with that fine silt that blows in from the beach. Anything metal in the condo is rusted including coffee table and metal pieces on shelf unit in living room, and the top of the dryer. At least one of the folding chairs on the patio was rusted so badly, it wouldn't open. I had to purchase toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, kleenex, laundry soap, dish shop, sponges, wash cloths, dish rag. There was no shelf in the shower so you had to put your shower items on the floor of the shower stall. The unit is in need of an overall good cleaning. The wooden platform on the master bed is about 6 inches wider than the mattress (on all sides), making it somewhat difficult NOT to bruise your legs against it. I did leave behind a few organic groceries, so someone should pick those up sooner than later, so they won't go bad. I hope whoever does so will enjoy them.

Nice cozy Condo

This Condo is on the 6th floor and has fantastic views of the pool, jacuzzi, beach and ocean. Waves can be heard 24/7. Due to covid-19, the jacuzzi and pool was not available for use. The Building is gated and has a 24 hour Security Guard on premise. The unit has all the amenities needed for a great stay. Restaurants are near by, Grocery stores as well. I would definitely recommend this unit.

No 'luxury theme here"

I have used sites as this one many times before. I have always had great experiences with the places we rented and their owners/managers. We travel often and love it! This, sadly, was not the case. The condo was dirty (I wish I could load the pictures I took), the linens were soiled, the advertised king bed was a full...This internet was non existent (but we had a password for it) and so on. The worst was when we contacted the owner about the dirty linens. We had a reservation for 3 days but we left after the first night. By the time he responded to our numerous concerns with "someone will come by tomorrow to change the linens" , or "enjoy it or leave", it was too late for us to find alternate accommodations. We were still hoping to find a resolution with the owner ( even though the description of the condo was not accurate) but his attitude and dismissive demeanor made it impossible for us to work with him. The location is nice (his directions are also not accurate), and the views are beautiful. I have been in much more affordable places that have been modest and clean. I would have expected that "luxury theme" included basic clean linens.

I arrived at 10:30pm. Everything was going well until I woke up at 4am only to find out there’s was no power, no lights and to top it all off a bad experience with owner. I never give bad ratings But this deserved me to write one. I reached out to the owner through VRBO to let him know and he quickly texted me and told me not to send messages through app only text (I wonder why?) at first I didn’t make a big deal, things happen! But then after 15 hours still no power, lights and 6 flights of stairs which made it unsafe for my family and I, I let him know I wanted to get reimbursed, he quickly got on a defensive mode and threatened me. He tried to intimidate me.. “. I'm a nice guy as you are but if you try to screw me you would expect the same and you will be ban from renting in Mexico.” Place is nice but owner wants to deal with you outside of VRGO which is highly not recommended not to do so.

We have rented 4 times in Las Holas Condo's. But this Condo wasn't as nice as the all the other Condo's. Hall bathroom didn't close all the way. Shower head sprayed everywhere except on you.Dinning Table Chairs material was falling apart. Accidentally locked the keys in the condo and owner made it our problem. Staff was very helpful and asked the cleaning lady to come on her day off to bring her key to open door.

Overall the condo is in a great location and is very nice with an amazing view! The property is a little hard to locate at first so just make sure when entering in gps you search Las Olas #1. It’s about 5 minutes from downtown. TV remote didn’t work and couldn’t figure out the speakers. Overall I would definitely rent here again!

Came out for my birthday

The housekeeper forgot we were coming and offered to come the next day, we declined. I had brought my cleaning supplies from home as well as own beddin, toiletries and towels ( I read the prior reviews and wanted to be prepared ) The security at check in was nice and very helpful . The view was beautiful. And Luke was a big help when we first arrived because we kept passing the little alley way. We recommended place to family and friends.

NOT as advertised

I rented this particular unit because I saw in the pictures that there was a comfy looking sofa on the balcony. I was disappointed when I arrived and saw it wasn't there. Instead there were folding chairs. My disappointment didn't end there. The master bedroom had a double size bed NOT a queen as listed, there was no BBQ on the balcony, there was no sun roller shades, no bottle water. All these were listed as amenities for this unit, but that was a lie. This is listed as a luxurious condo,, yet there were NO luxury amenities. I couldn't find shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, a hair dryer or towels to use for the spa - which was lukewarm and when I asked to have the heat turned up, I was told no. The dishes and glasses were sparse and mix matched. You'd be hard pressed to cook anything except boiled water. There weren't even ovenmitts!! I couldn't even find a pen or paper. There was no information about the town; no guides or a map. I'm familiar with the area, but I was still surprised there were none. It was quite cold (even the Living Rosarito group on FB had a discussion about how cold it was) and there were no blankets. Not one!! All we had were thin bedspreads. (I had to take the one off the bed in the second bedroom) I contacted the owner and he responded immediately and had the security guard bring us one, unfortunately it was another paper thin bedspread. There was one small space heater, no central heat. We had to sleep in sweats and our sweaters to stay warm. The view from this building is stunning, but that's not enough to warrant calling this bear bones unit luxurious. Had I known what the unit was REALLY like, I would have chosen another one or at least been prepared. I would suggest the owner reach out to VRBO to learn what is expected of hosts when renting out property and how to write a listing that is more accurate.
