The Neuk - luxury waterfront, breathtaking sea views

The Neuk is set in a glorious waterfront location in the picturesque village of Kames, less than two hours from Glasgow. The views from this impressive home are simply breathtaking.

The magnificent views across the Kyles of Bute and beyond can be enjoyed from inside the house or from the various outside spaces such as the patio garden, the inviting log cabin or the beach.

Furnished to a high standard with a luxurious and contemporary flair The Neuk provides very homely and comfortable accommodation for up to eight guests.

The ground floor features a light and spacious open plan living room and kitchen with oak flooring throughout, underfloor heating, log burner, smart large screen TV with Sonos soundbar. Large comfortable sofas and a double seater swivel chair from which guests can enjoy the spectacular sea views through the large glass bay window and conservatory. A space you will never want to leave.

The kitchen is very well equipped and includes an Everhot electric cooker, a double induction hob, a large American style fridge freezer, a Franke boiling water & filtered cold water tap. The highlight is the unique handmade oak kitchen table with sea views from the kitchen window.

The ground floor also includes a dining/games/music room, a conservatory with sofas and French doors leading to an outside patio. There is a wetroom, a snug, a w/c, a back hall with boot storage and coat hanging. The and a utility room features a Belfast sink, large washing machine and dryer, and additional fridge and large electric cooker with induction hobs.

BEDROOMS: Upstairs there are three inviting king bedrooms, one with sea view and en-suite shower room and the other two with garden/woodland views and a shared bathroom with bath and shower. Note two of the king bedrooms are zip and link and can be converted to twin beds. Please request at time of booking your preference. All the bedrooms have fitted cupboards and comfortable beds.

BEDROOMS: The ground floor bedroom features one single bed and a comfortable single sofa bed. Please request if you require the sofa bed. This bedroom features an ensuite with walk-in shower, hand basin and toilet.

Outside
The outside space includes a sheltered and private patio equipped with large table and chairs for alfresco dining or sitting out with access from the back conservatory. There is a small raised terrace with table and two chairs outside the front door, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee.

In front of the house there is ample parking for two cars, with further parking across the small road where the house enjoys its own access down to the sandy & rocky beach. Close to the water's edge there is an enclosed grass area where guests can relax, enjoy the views and watch the passing boats and the abundant wildlife which can be spotted on or close to the rocky Rubha Mor point, where numerous birds, and occasionally dolphins and seals have been seen.

Explore
The perfect holiday getaway to relax and escape from the stresses and strains of modern life; located close to local amenities in Kames which include a village store selling local produce and the Kames Hotel, restaurant and pub which is a 5-10 minute walk along the seafront.

The adjacent neighbouring village of Tighnabruaich offers cafes, restaurants, shops and an art gallery, and whether you enjoy sailing, golf, tennis, walking cycling or just chilling out, there is something for everybody here.

Portavadie Marina and Spa with its shop, restaurant, and indoor and outdoor pools is a short drive away.

There are many other interesting spots and attractions to explore in this very scenic part of Argyll's Secret Coastline (Benmore Botanic
Gardens, Bute House and Inverary Castle and jail to name a few).

Guest access: Kames and Tighnabruaich are scenic seaside villages with quiet roads which are well suited for walking or cycling and, if taking the car, street parking is available in most public areas.

Other things to note:
NB: The garden is still work in progress; there is a small stream and some steep slopes which are potential dangerous and are not suitable for very young children without close adult supervision. There are some safety fences in place but care needs to be taken at all times by guests.

No pets & no stag/hen parties please.

Please bring your own capsules for the Nespresso coffee machine.

Safety Features: Smoke alarms, Carbon monoxide detector, Fire extinguisher, Fire blanket.

Cleanliness & Disinfecting: Use of cleaning chemicals that are effective against Coronavirus, linens, towels and laundry washed in accordance with local authority guidelines. Guest accommodation is disinfected between stays.

An amazing house with stunnning views!
I can’t praise this property enough! It has been done up to a fantastic spec, very clean, very very well equipped and everything is set out and explained very well. (I always bring extra tea towels, kitchen foil etc because most houses we stay in never have them but this place had everything). The view is amazing, and you can walk straight onto the beach. The owner was super helpful and pleasant to deal with. Thanks you for a wonderful stay!
