Riverfront Cabin ★ Views ★ Quiet ★ Fishing ★ Kayak

A camp with a million dollar view and only one other camp on the other side of the stream and wooded area. Bring your family and friends to camp out, cook out, go fishing, canoeing or kayaking. Children can play in the stream beside the camp or on the jetty, or even walk across the Allegheny to the island to play and explore. A fun, relaxing retreat for years of memories.
This is a 4 season cabin so come and experience the Lehmeier's lodge during the various seasons.

The cabin is rustic and we have kept it simple and functional. Indoor. in addition to the kitchen, there are 2 large living area, the main living room and the bedroom. both offer plenty of space, comfy seating with sofas and of course several seating arrangements.
the outdoor space is there to reconnect you with the nature. The views are amazing and the sound of the river will never get old.

Guests will have entire access to the cabin and all the outdoor space except the "basement".

-KEY FEATURES-

⦿ 1 Full bathroom
⦿ Fully equipped kitchen
⦿ 2 cozy living room areas - The main living room and the bedroom has also an area to relax with a couch
⦿ Fire-pit with charcoal grill
⦿ Deck with propane grill

When visiting the Lehmeier's lodge, you will find yourselves in the middle of the nature at its best. On the bank of the Allegheny River, and in the border of the National Allegheny Forest, whether you are looking to fish or go hiking, our cabin is the perfect location to experience the nature at its best.

Our cabin is equipped for the 4 seasons so come and experience the Lehmeier's lodge during the various seasons. Whether you enjoy the spring and summer for fishing and kayaking, the fall colors are unbelievable, and if you love snow season, snowmobile in the Allegheny forest in only a few miles away.

As a reminder, our cabin is located in nature and by a river. it is not unusual to see various wildlife around. At night, bugs love to hang around the outdoor lights, we have the home treated for pests 4 times a year. You know that pest control is working if you find dead or "slow" bugs. We do find an occasional deceased pest in a window sill or corner of a room.

Caution during the Winter Season - Keep in mind that in winter, we can receive quite a bit of snow. Therefore basic precaution and preparedness are recommended when you visit us (such as a shovel, ice melt...).
Our driveway is on a downhill. In case of snow, it may take our team over 24 hrs to plow the driveway and shovel the entrance of the lodge. Depending on the condition and your vehicle, you may have challenges to drive back up the hill. We recommend using a 4 WD vehicle and we also recommend to stay park at the entrance of the driveway.

No Party or events

Please remove shoes inside the home. Our Cabin is mostly carpet and mud and debris can be challenging for our cleaning crew. If there is noticeable sign that outdoor shoes wear worn inside, we will add a $150 cleaning fee for carpet cleaning.

Trash should be separated between burnable trash and non burnable trash. Each trash container is clearly identified and should be used appropriately.

The home is not connected to city water. We have a well on property that provides water to the home. The well water is fully drinkable water but if you are not used to it, you may need to acquire a taste for it. We recommend that you bring your own water bottles.

We have a propane grill and a charcoal grill. We do supply the propane but if you wish to use the charcoal grill, please plan to bring your own charcoal.

The property has a great fire-pit on the bank of the river. We have a wood guy that can supply you with wood for your stay for a fee (for the fire-pit and wood stove). They deliver a truck ($105) or half truck load ($65). Please let us know in advance as it usually take a 2 days notice to get the wood. If you need a smaller quantity of wood, there are plenty of people selling wood bundles on the way there or you can bring your own.

When booking and/or cancelling your stay at any of my listings, you hereby agree to not write a bad review without first making me aware of any issues that you are having, and allowing me to fix the issue(s).

Third Party Reservations (Guest not occupying the home) are strictly forbidden and against VRBO policy. The guest who made the reservation must be an active occupant of the home for the entire duration of the reservation. Unauthorized guests will be removed from the property and the reservation will be immediately canceled. No refund will be provided regardless of the cancellation policy.

Lehemeier Lodge
We had an excellent stay. This was a birthday present trip for our 80 year old mother. The view is amazing, we spent hours just enjoying the river and all the animals around and in it! A spectacular place to stay, I really want to visit again.

We plan to return!
We had a wonderful get away! Our goal was to be more present as a family and do some nature things. This cabin was in the perfect place to do this! Nearby hikes, great waterfront to fish and search for cool rocks (something our son loves to do). We definitely plan to be back!

Cozy cabin!
Property was simply beautiful. Right on the river with the coziness of a fire, and the peaceful sound of the river all within 30 feet! Relaxation at its finest. Stayed here for a few days with friends and had a great time! Vince, the property owner, was very responsive to all of my questions both before and during our stay. Highly recommend for those looking to rest, relax and enjoy mother nature!

Two day getaway
Great location. Right on the water. Just wanted to get away for a couple of days & enjoy the national forest. This was close & made for nice evening beside the fire. Watched a couple of bald eagles in the morning on the island across from the cabin. Place was as described. Would stay again

Comfy and homey
This is the second time we've stayed at this property. Incredibly clean and well stocked with towels, linens, cooking utensils, etc. The living room is so cozy, with a wonderful view of the river. We spent most of our time there out on the spacious deck and by the firepit. Enjoyed watching the occasional kayakers and fishing boats. Really enjoyed watching the herons, ducks, and bald eagles! A perfect place for a getaway. Owner sent messages very quickly, with all necessary information included. Highly recommend this lodge!

Great riverfront cabin
We love the northern part of the Allegheny River. This cabin is the perfect place to stay and enjoy the Allegheny away from the city. Fishing and swimming was a blast. Cabin was perfectly clean with amenities available. Fire pit right against the river was relaxing at night. Oh and the kayaking was really nice. We saw a bald eagle while several times while there.

Quiet family time
This lodge was everything we needed. Cute cabin right on the river with a babbling stream. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped for any meal you could plan. The sunroom overlooks the river, close enough to hear the river and watch the birds. But for me, the best part was sitting on the deck relaxing watching the ducks and herons fishing. Truly a fabulous spot to unwind and not stress about life.
