The house has incredible views in every direction from its spectacular setting on Dunnet Head, the most northerly point of mainland Britain. As well as the estate's own beach, the house sits above Dunnet Bay, one of the UK's most stunning beaches and has 1800 acres of moorland for hiking on the estate. Featured in The Crown on Netflix. A downstairs room can be made up for a disabled guest and has an accessible bathroom. Four bedrooms can be made into twin rooms if preferred. Guests can access all of the house except service areas We will always be available at the end of a phone, but we do not live full-time in Dunnet. However, we have a lovely local host for the House of the Northern Gate who will ensure your stay is just how you want it. The House of the Northern Gate sits in the Dunnet Estate: 1800 acres of coastal moorland looking out to Orkney and the Atlantic on Dunnet Head which is the most northerly point of mainland Britain. To the south of the house is Dunnet village with the world-famous Rock Rose gin distillery and the Northern Sands pub A car is recommended to explore the area.
