Lovely B&B with super hosts

Lovely accommodation and super hosts in the small B&B, very handy for the NC500 route. Big Scottish breakfast was delightful. Safe parking and easy access to the A386.

Richard & Jane run a great place. They are warm & friendly, breakfasts are incredible (especially the coffee!), & the rooms are spacious & comfortable. We liked that they used local items to decorate. That adds a lot of character & charm!

This was a favorite place on our travels throughout Scotland. In a peaceful setting, everything was lovely and immaculately cared for, with many extra nice and small touches. Jane and Richard were excellent hosts, welcoming us warmly, sharing helpful suggestions, and providing a wonderful breakfast with homemade bread. This was a great stay and highly recommend!

Wonderful stay, we felt welcome as soon as we arrived - great hosts! Very dog friendly! Room was spacious and comfortable, so lovely to have a bath after a long day. Breakfast as excellent, our daughter loved picking what she wanted and said it was her favourite place we stayed all holiday!

Wonderful stay with fabulous hosts! We don't normally stay and B&Bs but after this visit we will do so more in the future. GREAT room with king bed, huge bathroom with tons of natural light, all very clean. Breakfast defies words - so yummy. Best of all - two black labs!!

Tour of the Highlands

Richard and Jane are the perfect hosts. From the moment we arrived to the minute we drove away 2 days later. The room was huge, spotless and so comfortable. They were on hand for advice on where to visit, eat out or just there to reassure us that we were welcome in their home. The best way to describe our stay is that as we left it was like leaving friends or family. We felt like we could have stayed on. But we had a schedule to follow. We would Definitely stay again.

What an amazing place to stay. A little outside of Thurso but totally worth booking. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. A b & b should have a good bed and a good breakfast, as that's what you're looking for. Aurora excel at both. Such a comfy bed and a great nights sleep and the breakfast is very highly recommended. Try the baked eggs, you won't be disappointed. We're already planning a return visit

Exzellente Unterkunft nahe Thurso. Es handelt sich um ein kleines Privathaus mit mit liebenswürdigen Gastgebern. Jeder Wunsch wird von den Lippen abgelesen. Sehr saubere Zimmer, modernes Bad. Das morgentliche Frühstück ist unschlagbar. Jederzeit wieder!

Aurora B&B was the nices place ive stayed in years. Jane and Richard are wonderful people! Jane saw how exhausted we were and despite our fairly late arrival went above and beyond in the first 5 minutes to help us find dinner. The property was beautiful, clean, quiet, and safe! The beds were comfortable and breakfast was 5 stars. We are so happy we stayed at Aurora B&B! Will do so again at our next opportunity!

The hosts were very nice and went to the trouble of getting us a reservation at a local hotel restaurant for dinner. The breakfast in the B&B the next morning was excellent showing the effort that Richard and Jane put into their guest’s experience.

Richard & Jane could not be more welcoming. On our arrival, they both greeted us at the front door and show us around their lovely home. It was cosy, clean and tidy. Our room was equally as good, Very spacious, clean and inviting. The bathroom was especially nice and had an array of bath treats for us to enjoy. Once settled in our room we were made coffee with a side of homemade shortbread & banana and walnut cake. (Which were really tasty). We were provided with a folder covering anything we could possibly need from wifi to local amenities. There was a good selection of breakfast options to choose from including vegetarian. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us throughout the duration of our stay.

Couldn’t fault anything! Jane and Richard let us move a stay a day forward as I got our dates wrong We stayed in the room named ORKNEY and it was lovely, comfy big bed and en-suite. Everything was spotless Breakfast was perfect and they were super accommodating to everything! Would definitely recommend

Clean comfortable homely stay for one night. I stay away often and wasn’t expecting great things when I booked this, but I was completely wrong. The venue was clean, tidy, quiet and comfortable. Jane could not have been more accommodating and the breakfast was great as well. Would return in a heartbeat.
