The best area to stay in Thors is the village centre, as it offers the most convenient access to local amenities and the region's main attractions.

This compact village centre is where you'll find the majority of the local shops, bakeries, and eateries. The central square, Place de l'Église, is a good point of reference, and many of the guesthouses and hotels are within a short walk of this area. It's a pleasant place for a stroll, with traditional half-timbered houses lining the narrow streets.

For couples looking for a relaxing getaway, staying in the village centre allows for easy access to local wine-tasting experiences and traditional French dining. Many of the guesthouses offer a personal touch, and you're well-placed to explore the surrounding vineyards and countryside walks directly from your accommodation.

Travellers interested in exploring the wider Grand Est region will find the village centre a practical base.

The best time to go to Thors is during the late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September-October) when the weather is pleasant and the region's natural beauty is at its peak.

During late spring, the countryside around Thors comes alive with lush greenery and blooming wildflowers, making it ideal for outdoor activities like walking and cycling.
