Weekend getaway
This is the second time that my brother, sister in law, my wife and I have stayed at this cabin! We love that we have our own bedrooms and bathrooms! The house is cozy and just a great place to relax and enjoy each others company! We enjoy fishing and kayaking the Betsie River. We will be back in the future to our home away from home.

Winter ski trip stay
The cabin was great! We loved the hot tub and woodstove. It was perfect for our running group to do a long weekend ski trip. It is very clean. The only thing to make sure of is that you fully understand the bed arrangements. In our group, there was only one couple who wanted to share a bed. In the listing, we misunderstood how many rooms and beds there were (if people are not up for sharing a bed, there are 6 sleeping places) which meant one of us slept on the couch. It wasn’t a big deal, we had just read it badly. So read carefully! Other then that, it’s a great space and it was perfect for us.

We had a great time during our stay: the kids loved the pingpong and exploring the property. The kitchen had most everything we needed. We did some skiing at Crystal Mountain so the location of the cabin was perfect. The owners were responsive to any questions or issues we had. We'll definitely be back!

Our second stay here
My family does a ski trip to Crystal Mountain each winter and we've made this our home for the past 2 trips. The youngest member of the family started calling it "The Holiday House" last year and it couldn't be more accurate a description. It's a great little house tucked back in the woods about 5 minutes away from the ski hill. There are a few visible neighbors, but honestly, you're far more likely to encounter deer and squirrels than to have any intrusive interaction with another human. It's a great place to unplug and recharge your OWN batteries. We absolutely love spending a full day on the trails and then coming back to soak in the hottub while the snowgear goes through the laundry. (Stargazing off the back deck on clear nights is an extra little bonus!) The beds are wonderful as well and the arrangements of bunk beds and queen beds in the two different bedrooms is great for us to spread out. One bedroom has an attached bathroom with a stand-up shower and the other bedroom shares the main bathroom that has a bathtub. I can't guarantee it will be everything you need but it is definitely all we can ask for to enjoy our trips Crystal Mountain! We love it!

My family and I stayed at the Betsie River Cabin to go skiing at Crystal Mt for the weekend. Our stay was great! Everything about the cabin was as they described and we had a great time playing board games and enjoyed the hotbtub after skiing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!

Great Stay - Warm & Cozy
This property was perfect. Great location to Crystal Mountain, amazing views, and great mornings cozied up to the fire and relaxing evening soaking the hot tub. This place was clean and nice. Definitely would recommend.We hope to stay here again someday.

Home just as advertised. It had all items needed for a comfortable stay, beautiful scenery, hot tub was very clean and easy to use, ping pong table was really fun, kitchen fully stocked with cookware, dishes, silverware.....master bedroom bed was the most comfortable. The path to the river was kept clear and we could see salmon sometimes. Very pretty outside with the tree leaves changing color and private. The weather was not the best, rained the whole time, so did not use the fire pit, but there was plenty of wood supplied if we had wanted a fire. Grill was available but we did not use it. Would stay again. Hosts were im communication with me prior to with no issues, did not need to contact them during our stay.

Betsie Cabin Getaway
This is the 2nd year in a row that I’ve booked this property with my family and friends and every year we leave wanting to stay more! The hosts Mike and Lisa are great communicators and ensure you feel as if you’re home during your stay. We had a great time fishing the river and relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long day of fishing. God willingly we will be back again next year!

Anniversary getaway
We had a a great time. We did some fishing in the river and saw a few salmon but no takers. Hot tub was nice addition and probably the main reason we booked this place. We had dinner at Crystal mt and went there for the spa the next day. We will definitely be back probably with the kids next time. Thanks again.

R&R with the in laws.
Nice cabin, not to far to any of the surrounding areas. Host were very responsive to all inquiries. We did some fishing and biking and toured Torch lake, Frankfort, Crystal lake to name a few. Enjoyed our stay and looking into another trip to the Bestie in the future.

What a great place!
We absolutely loved our stay here. Our kids LOVED exploring the river and warming up in the hot tub after. We all had a lot of fun playing ping pong and used some of the board games provided as well. Campfires were also a favorite. It was perfect. So much do do in this area! This was our first time in Michigan and we hope to return.

Good home base for a fun weekend
We had a great stay at this property. Awesome communication with the property owner and a very short distance to crystal mountain. The betsy river was perfect to climb into a wet a line with the kids with a fair amount of success. I can imagine in the fall youd be getting into the fish big time. The house and location was perfect for what we needed it for. We had young highschoolers with us that just wanted to go snowboarding all day and this was a perfect location for us that was not right on site at Crystal Mountain.

This home was lovely for our weekend trip to the Crystal Mountain area. Close to several great restaurants and lots of outdoor activities. It was wonderful watching the sunrise over the rushing river through the large windows in the living room. The owners were very accommodating and easy to reach. Highly recommend!

We had a really good time at this cabin! The location is beautiful, very secluded and right on the river. The house was the perfect size for 6 of us, and we really enjoyed playing ping pong all night long. Secluded getaway retreat
Overall we had a wonderful time in this cabin. It was a beautiful secluded location and we enjoyed the river out back. I will say the beds were a bit uncomfortable- the single double bed was very lopsided so you rolled down the bed, and one of the bunk beds was a bit dangerous The cabin is stocked with all you need but it is lower quality and old. Ultimately we spent most time outdoors so we didn’t need great cookware— and so this was a nice place to come back to each day. The owners were very responsive and helpful.

Loved everything about this place!
This cabin had everything we needed or could want for a relaxing vacation. Outside space was lovely, and spending time on the bench at the river's edge was great! The kitchen had everything we could ask for and we cooked a lot of meals in it. Common space was super comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub too. Mike always responded promptly when communicating too which was much appreciated! We will be back!

Stayed here a couple nights with some friends and we loved every second of it! The view from the living room and dining area, (and the back balconies) is beautiful- you kinda feel like you’re in a treehouse! The grounds are well maintained, making it easy to get down to the outdoor fire pit and the river. We plan to come back during warmer months to enjoy the bench and picnic table by the water, and the great outdoor fire pit area (that we didn’t get to use this time). We had colder temps and much more snow than anticipated, and we really appreciated having easy access to shovels and salt (which I’ve been left without at other rentals). The owners really make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable- extra towels, plenty of toilet paper, and the kitchen was equipped very satisfactorily for us three home-chefs. The cabin was very clean and inviting, and of course the hot tub was exactly what we needed to battle the cold! I really can’t say enough about this place. We can’t wait to come back! Definitely recommending this place to family and friends. Oh! The stars are great on a clear night, too.

Betsie Cabin for the WIN!
My husband and I were in desperate need of some time away just the two of us to regroup. The Betsie Cabin was just what we needed!! The owners were easy to communicate with, the cabin was fully stocked with kitchen supplies, bedding, paper products! There was plenty of wood for the wood burner and a perfectly heated hot tub! The cabin was clean and tidy! The location was perfect! There was privacy, woods, water and all the space needed! So incredibly peaceful and serene!! We loved it and are already planning the next trip!!!
