There are many hundreds of trails to explore, as well as nearby Ancient Indian paintings . 10 miles south of the town are hundreds of well preserved dinosaur tracks . John Wayne made many of his best movies within a 50 mile radius of this location . Indiana Jones was filmed nearby and Thelma and Louise was filmed in this Town !! It had the minimum (but enough) of what you would need to cook. Right next to a railroad track that only came through town one night. The location is a bit remote (about 35 minutes from Moab) but the house is nice, clean, and very roomy. Perfect for our trip and much less expensive than staying in Moab.
