"If you are looking to stay in an older Historic hotel with a great view give this one a try. The rooms are nicely finished and have as many modern amenities as one would expect. Your own private balcony is a real plus with views of the Ohio river and down town Madison. Walking to either is easy from this location as well if you so desire. The lobby is a neat tidy greeting place with it's own coy pond. Pictures of the original hotel in it's several iterations adorn the walls. One dating back to 1870! We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the experience."

"The room was clean and welcoming, with an awesome view. The bartender was the best. We stopped in to grab a drink before dinner, and she was absolutely the best. Very friendly, helpful with information about the local places to eat, and just easy to talk to. Made great mixed drinks too. The history of this place was why we chose to stay. Love how they took a historic building and refurbished it into something useful."

"I absolutely loved this place! The location on Main Street was so convenient to all that Madison has to offer within walking distance. Parking right at the door was also a big plus. The kitchen was well appointed, including many convenient additions (such as the spice rack and coffee supplies.) If you plan to stay a week (as I did) you'll likely need more than 1 roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper (what is provided) so add that to your grocery list. New washer and dryer (impressive) and great shower. Cute decor...I would definitely stay here again"

"We took an extended weekend siblings trip to Madison. We really enjoyed our trip. Joseph responded quickly to any questions. Beds we're very comfortable and the rooms we're good size. Located within walking distance of Main Street shops and restaurants. We would certainly return to this lovely house for future trips."
