Combining the culture, history and nightlife of a city break with the warm waters, islands and activities of a Vietnamese beach holiday, Nha Trang has something for everyone. The perfect destination if you want to party all night and swim, scuba dive and snorkel all day, Nha Trang also boasts a fascinating selection of historic sights, museums and cultural attractions.
Downtown – Home to the majority of Nha Trang’s bars, shops, clubs and restaurants, this central district comes alive when the sun goes down. Party the night away in one of Nha Trang’s many bars and clubs, or head slightly further out for more sedate options.
Bai Dai – The road to Bai Dai is very scenic and well worth a visit during your stay in Nha Trang. The beach in Bai Dai is long, clean and beautiful, with restaurants on hand to provide tasty meals and snacks while you soak up the tropical sun.
Monkey Island – Located around 20km from Nha Trang, Monkey Island is easy to access by ferry from the resort. As the name suggests, monkeys are the island’s main attraction and you’ll have the chance to get up close and personal to the wild inhabitants during your visit.
Nha Trang Beach – The expansive beach is Nha Trang’s main attraction. Packed full of restaurants, cafes and shops, the beach has all the amenities you need for a relaxing beach break. Diving schools can be found along the length of the beach, with courses and trips available for divers of all abilities.
Nha Trang boasts a great mix of historic and natural sights to see. Visit the Po Nagar Cham Towers, built by the Cham civilisation between the 7th and 12th centuries, the 79 foot high Long Son Pagoda, built in 1963 to honour the monks and nuns who died demonstrating against the Diem Government, or the traditional fishing village that’s located between the city’s old and new bridges. Alternatively, if you want to explore Nha Trang’s natural attractions, visit some of the many waterfalls found in the local area, take a ferry to one of the nearby islands or jump on a bike and explore the stunning local countryside.
The most popular activity in Nha Trang is scuba diving, however surfing, sailing and rafting are also all available in the waters around Nha Trang. If you’d rather keep your feet on dry land, join a bicycle tour of the local area, sign up for a Vietnamese cookery class and sample some regional flavours, or explore the shops, markets and independent retailers in the centre of Nha Trang. If that all sounds a bit energetic for your beach break, head to one of the nearby spas or hot springs and let all your stresses and strains float away. In the evenings, there are plenty of bars and clubs to explore, with many venues open well into the wee hours.
