This tunnel was the only ray of hope for the city of Sarajevo in the longest seize in modern day history that lasted over 3 years and 10 months. Built with basic equipment like pick axes and shovels and with only candles as a source of light, this tunnel was Sarajevo's only lifeline for food, war supplies and humanitarian aid.
