LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Stay in the heart of The Villages—only a 3-minute golf-cart ride or 7-minute walk to Lake Sumter Landing’s restaurants, shops, and nightly live music.

We named this home “Our Village Gem 2” because it’s our second Villages property and has the same comfort, care, and attention to detail that our guests love. The location, in the Village of Caroline, offers peace and privacy just steps from the action.

The Home
Enjoy an open, light-filled floor plan designed for relaxing or entertaining. After a round of golf or an evening at the Square, unwind on the sofa with the 55-inch Smart TV, or stream a favorite show in either bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, and utensils, and fresh linens and towels are provided—just bring your suitcase and settle in.

From this central Caroline location you’ll have access to over 50 golf courses (14 championship, 40+ executive), multiple recreation centers, pools, fitness, pickleball, tennis, and more. Perfect location and perfect accommodations for us and our little dog ❤️ we especially liked how they enclosed the sun porch and made it air conditioned living space with a love seat and tv, it was a nice surprise! The villa was lovely, clean and perfect for us. We would definitely stay there again! The addition of a golf cart to use was was a bonus for us! Thank you 😊

My stay

I had a wonderful three-month vacation here. The house is just as stated, with everything that I needed. The backyard is enclosed for a pet. There is a golf cart included. The hosts are so attentive, want everything to be perfect for one's stay. I couldn't of asked for a better location. I would positively recommend this home. I will be back also.

Perfect Location and Lovely Home

My husband and I, along with our dachshund, spent a week at this home in early July 2024. The house was clean, with modern decor and a well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The beds and linens were very nice, and the living room furniture was quite comfortable. We also appreciated the YouTube TV for watching local news and weather while there. The location was very convenient for many things, including a grocery store, Lake Sumter Square, and golf courses. And it didn't take long to get to Spanish Springs via gold cart, either. We really appreciated the fenced-in backyard for the dog.

Wonderful!

Village Gem really is a gem! The kitchen was well-stocked, the decor & furnishings immediately made us feel at-home and the entire home was spotless. Plus, we could not have asked for a better location. Hosts Bill and Laurel obviously put a lot of thought and care into this home and it shows. It made our stay exceptional. We would recommend Village Gem without reservation to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in The Villages. Thank you!

Great location and home

This was our first visit to the Villages. The home was perfect for us. Two bedrooms, two baths, very clean and comfortable. Nice patio in back. Golf cart was great and a must have in the Villages. The location was perfect. Less than five minutes to the town square. Three championship golf courses within 10 minute golf cart ride. Pool nearby. Owners very helpful prior to arrival and during the stay. Our stay couldn't have been better. Thanks for a great trip.

Absolutely fantastic location!

This is a darling property and absolutely the best location. We really enjoyed our stay. The only two semi negatives were that we had to call the owner to adjust the thermostat, as the directions left for it weren’t accurate. Also, when we unmade the bed to wash the sheets, we found stains on the mattress pad. We washed it as well as the sheets. It will be clean for the next renters. 😄

The house was comfortable clean. The location was fantastic! Only a couple minutes drive to Sumpter Square and Winn Dixie grocery store. The private backyard was nice too! I didn’t love having to wash the towels and sheets and put them in the dryer before we left. I never mind putting a load in the laundry prior to leaving but waiting for a load to dry before putting the next load in made us leave later than we would have liked. We appreciated having use of the golf cart when we golfed at Mallory Hills golf course which was very close by.

The Villages

We loved this place. Location was perfect. The courtyard was great to have for our pup. The neighbors were friendly when taking the pup for a walk. Parked our truck when we arrived and didn’t move it till we departed. The golf car was awesome. The wife and I were talking. This might have been the best stocked vacation rental we have stayed in. Trash bags and paper products etc. Thanks Laurel and Bill. We definitely will be back.

Great Location in Villages

In Village of Caroline minutes from Lake Sumter Landing, stores, and restaurants. Short drive to Brownwood or Spanish Springs. We love going to hear music every night in a town square. Home is very clean and fully stocked. Golf cart very useful for short trips. Our second time booking this home, always excellent communication with owners. Private enclosed courtyard villa great for our dog. The beds and furniture are very comfortable, kitchen has everything you need. Home is pretty centrally located in villages for the many activities you will enjoy. TV's with multiple premium channels in every room.

Clean & comfortable

The owner was very pleasant to work with and was available pre, post & during our rental. The home was comfortable for 4 adults to relax and visit. Plenty of towels. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. The bed in the 2nd bedroom, I was told was not comfortable, but when I checked the bed it seemed soft and quite possibly not supportive for some. The kitchen was fully equipped. We only made breakfast and had everything we needed, the option for drip coffee or Keurig coffee worked out for everyone. The golf cart availability was a plus. However, we didn't use it, as we didn't want to get caught in a rain storm. Enjoyed the close proximity to Sumter Landing/market square. Highly recommend and plan to visit again. enjoyed the

Flawless Stay at the Village Gem!

We had a phenomenal stay at Bill and Laurel's Village Gem. From the moment we first chatted, prior to booking, all the way through our last day, we received the best hospitality and thoroughly enjoyed our home away from home. This unit is beautiful, clean and central to the most ideal sections of the Villages. My girls LOVED the golf cart--a highlight of our trip! We were in super close proximity to the square, the grocery store and community pools. Everything about the home was comfy and enjoyable. This was also the most well-equipped rental we have ever stayed in; the games and activities were an added bonus. Laurel and Bill were great. They were incredibly fast to reply when we needed anything and they were very flexible to our needs and requests. We cannot wait to come back and enjoy this little piece of Heaven again. My 6 night stay was perfect. Check-in was easy and the hosts were very responsive around questions / requests. Location was uber convenient to Sumter Landing and the Palmer Legends courses. The Bungalow was stylishly decorated with super comfy beds and plenty of room to hang out and relax. I highly recommend!
