"Palmetto Beachfront Hotel feels like you walk out of paradise and into the first circle of hades. First of all, I’ve never experienced the kind of blatant exposing of my private information like I did at this location. I’m not sure what the point of the “pre check-in” process is if they’re just going to ask the same questions again and then scream (literally talking VERY LOUDLY with every single guest) out all of your personal information for everyone in the lobby and all of the random people behind the front desk in the back to hear. As I sat in the lobby waiting for my room to become available (I was strung along for hours as the desk staff made me believe a room could become available as soon as it was cleaned but wasnt able to check-in til right before 4pm, anyways) at some time between 2:00p and a little after 3:00pm a previous guest called with a concern regarding their $100 deposit that was never refunded back to their card after they checked out on March 29. The desk staff informed the caller that was it was refunded on the hotels end and that she would “escalate it to accounting”. After hanging up with the caller, the staff member declares to her co-worker (in the same volume as they scream out all of our personal information) “I’m not escalating anything”, and proceeds to cackle loudly like she thought it was funny. All of your front desk dayshift staff need to be fired and replaced. Every single one that worked Friday, April 17, 2026."

"Beach view was great, internet service was terrible, room could have been a bit cleaner and needs update. the water in the toilet was almost grey; the stove and toaster were filthy."

"The room itself was nice and clean, but old. The bathroom had a lot of mold and mildew around the edges and doors. Shower handles need replacing (very loose). Toilet felt like it might break (bad seat or install). A saw one large roach and a few smaller bugs crawling on the floors. The beach and ocean was nice. Excellent sunsets! Wish my room had a balcony facing the beach, but it didn't. Check-in was chaotic, with long lines. Needed more staff and maids to service the rooms. Overall, a 2.5 to 3 stars."

"We really liked the convenience store in the resort. The room was clean and had a beautiful view. We did wish the restaurants were a little more budget friendly. The ice cream store was not open. The lazy river was freezing but for the time of the year it was expected."

"This place was nice, my only problem was how much of a pain in the ass the security was. Their rules for the hot tub are very unclear. We had my son in the hot tub because it was too cold to go in the pool. He wasn’t causing any problems and I was holding him the whole time. He was 6 years old. Body temp was NOT to high either.. they came and kicked us out for that. Pretty stupid… other than that nice place"
