"My husband and I rented this property for a long weekend, and it was wonderful! Lois and her husband were so welcoming and friendly. The rental was the perfect size for just the two of us (but can also accommodate 2 more), and the location of the property made it an ideal "landing spot" as we explored the community, much of it within easy walking distance. Main points: mattresses are stained/need vacuuming and do not have covers. I am very glad we brought blankets. The blankets that are in the house are dirty. There is mess in every drawer/shelf. "This is the second time we’ve rented this property and it has several characteristics which make it unique. Location - lovely view of Lake Michigan including fabulous sunsets, but not far from town or a perfect public beach for walking & swimming. Thick vegetation makes it quiet & lush but there’s always a good breeze from the lake. Loons and saw a pelican, too & a snowshoe hare in yard. The screened in porch is a huge plus for relaxing bug-free. Big & well- equipped kitchen for foodies....
