"We found this gem on our way south and so glad we stayed. The couple who hosted us were so kind and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful. The view from the pool was incredible. It is a quiet town so there’s not much around but the city of Sarlat was wonderful. Sunday market is a must! "

"Nous avions choisi cet hôtel, car il est noté 10, exceptionnel. Loin de là… Toile d’araignée devant la porte, douche avec tous les coins noirs, et l’ensemble a quand même beaucoup vieilli. Le petit déjeuner est correct, tout juste. Étonnée par la note que j’avais vue, j’ai vérifié et constaté que les avis datent de 2013\. L’hôtel a bien vieilli… malgré cela, la literie est assez confortable et l’ensemble plutôt silencieux."

"Beautiful pool and garden, beautiful quiet location - house was good but old fashioned and required more thorough cleaning and attention to detail on cleaning crockery, checking for bugs in house (cleaning again) and ensuring that all facilities were in good working order which they were not. Heating was broken, dishwasher did not clean properly, no hot water in evening, then internet went down in storm affecting TV, with little to no contact with owner. This house needs TLC as did we so we felt cold, neglected and disappointed with our holiday. Apart from one load of logs for the fire which cheered us up we were pretty much ignored by the owner except when he arrived to check the heating and the plumber tried to fix. But it came on once at 2am then that was it. So very sorry but it was all too frustrating. Better communication is required. "

"We spent a week in this lovely, well appointed villa overlooking the Vèzére River valley. The fall weather that week was a bit too chilly to enjoy pool or sit outdoors but the views remained spectacular. The villa was a great base for venturing out to the nearby prehistoric sites, market towns, and wonderful restaurants and was a cozy home for evenings in enjoying local wine, cheese and charcuterie. Beth and John provided helpful advice and the housekeeper was prompt and accommodating. Thanks! "

"We had a fabulous time at the villa, it was a lovely place to spend two weeks. The location is peaceful and pretty, the pool was a welcome retreat in the heat and the house itself was impressive. The air conditioning worked really well, as did all the appliances. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. We also took our cavapoo who enjoyed the large garden. While there is a fence or electric fence surrounding the majority of the property, we did not feel it was secure enough to let our dog off-lead as we knew there were areas he could get out or under, but he is a small dog. It got particularly hot while we were there (August - pure sun every day!) and we asked if there were any additional fans, the owner arranged for them to be with us the same day, which was greatly appreciated. Les Eyzies is a lovely small town and the villa is really well situated for exploring the region. During our stay we went on canoe trips down both the Vezere and Dordogne rivers, which we really enjoyed with our teenage sons. My parents also came with us and loved the area and house."
