We stayed in the original cabins which are close to Putney beach. They are basic but clean and fresh and were ideal for a beach getaway with young children. We ate at the restaurant each night and thought the food was good value. Meals were well priced and offered good variety. Our party of 11 all loved our stay and plan on going back. We were disappointed that whoever is responsible for track maintenance still has not cleared the walking tracks. Access to the other beautiful beaches is an obvious activity for visitors yet the tracks are difficult to negotiate. It’s a beautiful place and it’s pleasing to see the old resort being cleared. I wouldn’t say spotless but ok. The only thing I was surprised with was no laundry facilities or advertising where u could go we stayed 4 nights & washed in the hand basin or shower. Otherwise meals were great and staff friendly would visit again glad I chose the holiday!

Solo Hideaway

GKI Hideaway is just that. Hidden away and not overly commercialised. Fabulous food at the restaurant and cafe and yummy cocktails. Mid week special was great, not too many people and the staff were all super welcoming and friendly.

A beautiful, relaxing 3 day break. The perfect spot to unwind and not do much. The bistro meals were delicious and I highly recommend Kahuna massage whilst on the island. Such a beautiful, relaxing experience

We had a most relaxing and tranquil 4 days at Great Keppel Hideaway. Our comfortable studio was situated amongst some lovely trees and tropical shrubs. Also, the staff arranged for our luggage to be transported on and off the ferry. We'd love to come back!

Beautiful beaches disappointing walking tracks

The accommodation was basic but clean, the coastal island was stunningly beautiful but we weren’t advised of the large deconstruction work being carried out so any hiking excursion was out of the question.

Great keppel is an amazing place. Wonderful property close to the beach. Simple and pretty clean. Limited facilities in smaller rooms but enough to enjoy. Lots of activity options such as diving, paddle boarding and snorkelling. Be great to have a few more food options or a small grocery store
