"We stayed here for 2 nights when we attended a wedding. Great location with access to shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean with good bathroooms and comfy beds. Breakast was included and it was tasty and fresh. We are vegan and it is the best hotel breakfast we have had. But the thing that elevates it is the staff. So helpful, attentive, and friendly. A great stay."
"The food and drink was fantastic. The staff very helpful and their pub experience great! I wish we had more time allocated to experience this lovely part of the country. Also the cab service was fantastic and very flexible. "
"As a three star, this was good, we had a lovely room on the top floor, and received a friendly welcome. Really good location in the centre of such a pretty town Bedale. "
"An amazing and truly relaxing environment created by our hosts and they general feel of the property. Genuine period style and features set in stunning grounds within easy reach of Middlesbrough, Yarm and the Moors."
"Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay.
Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful.
Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub.
Only downside, studio was small."

"This house is lovely. However the interactions with the host completely ruined this trip for us. Upon receiving the address the day before, we were also sent an extensive list of rules including the threat of fines if not followed. This included an early outdoor curfew, meaning we were unable to use the outside space as wished. If we were aware we had an outside curfew then we would not have booked this place at all, and this should be make clearer upon booking. Not only that but there was threats of fines if disturbing the neighbours after 9:30, fines for not following recycling and fines if anyone extra came along (£500). Once arriving at the property I received a call including more rules etc. in all honesty this left us all on edge all weekend and unable to use the house as we wished, especially the outdoor area. If there is an early evening curfew, this needs to be made CLEAR. "
