Secluded country villa - large pool/table tennis/pool table/foosball/bocce court

"This is a perfect family/large group of friends getaway. We stayed as two families of four - four children four adults. The pool is fantastic. Wonderful size. Gorgeous outside seating or large indoor dining table. Kitchen has all the essential things for cooking. We also used pizza oven which was great. Rooms are spacious and have either and en suite or allocated toilet/ bathroom. Plenty of showers. This is a lovely quiet location- no big crowds even in mid summer. Orvietto is lovely town 30/40 mins drive. Bagnoregio stunning again 40 mins drive. Wine tasting local and olive oil tasting was surprisingly great. Some lovely local restaurants. You need a car - though host did arrange taxi for us to do wine tasting. We love this place - this was our second visit here."

"Ontzettend vriendelijke mensen. We werden met open armen ontvangen.Het vakantiehuis zit achter het huis van de bewoners maar dat merk je totaal niet, De zoons werken hard op het land of bij de geiten. Het is er heel rustig, het zwembad is heerlijk en het uitzicht prachtig, Wij hebben nog nooit zo’n complete keuken meegemaakt. Meer dan genoeg pannen, borden en bestek en zelfs zout en olijfolie. Het huis is ruim, de grootste kamer heeft een airco en ondanks dat het twee weken lang rond de 37 graden was bleef het huis koel. De kinderen (8 en 10) vonden het heerlijk om naar de geiten te gaan of om met de poesjes te knuffelen en te spelen."

"An Oasis of Peace and QuietAs soon as we arrived at "La Casa Del Pastore", we knew our vacation would be nothing less than magical. Yes, the road was rough but worth it! And, with patience and daily practice, the ride was very manageable.The house was perfect in size for the two of us, tastefully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen featuring the best set of knives we ever had in any vacation rental.It was very hot during our stay, and while the cottage has ceiling fans in every room, it stayed pleasantly cool for us that we never turned them on.Manuela and Martin, the owners who live in the main house completely out of view above the cottage, could not have been nicer and were very respectful of our privacy.We wanted to rest and relax, and "La Casa Del Pastore" was the perfect place. We would come back in a heartbeat."

"We were two families and we had the most wonderful week at Mario’s beautiful house. The pictures do not do it justice. The pool is amazing, the house is perfect and rustic. The views of the surrounding area are incredible. The house is on the top of a hill and the road up is very steep. So many things to do nearby, Bagnoregio Civita, Bolsena, Sacro Bosco, cascata Marmore. We had such a great week. Mario was a great host. "
