"I have stayed at b ocean multiple times over the years and this past visit was rather disappointing. At check in there was a lot of chaos in general and the girl who checked me in messed up our reservation. It did get fixed but she then tried to have me pay for someone else’s room hold and said it was the same amount of money so it was no big deal. The guy at the desk told her no. She then gave us directions to the wrong area of where we were staying and we needed to remind her to give us our beach bands. Our room was not exactly what it’s been in the past either, which was disappointing. We don’t need our room cleaned crazily or anything but we weren’t even given wash cloths to wash up with on the second day. We also came back to our room and the door was left cracked open. There seemed to be some issues too with electric because our ac kicked in and everything turned off and in the middle of the night it would not come on for a long time and the room would get super hot. And the staff in the restaurant downstairs for breakfast to check you in was just very unhelpful and we stood there after we had asked for a table and nobody helped us. It was odd. With that being said there was an amazing server at the pool restaurant outside who was extremely helpful and the property location is beautiful. There Weren’t any towels and the one lady was so kind and went to get us some and the people on the beach were also great. Again we’ve started numerous times and this was not the same"

"Clean room. The outdoor area was nice, but was not well kept. Guests littered throughout the day & area not tended too. Limit chairs and chairs on the beach had to be rented."

"Stayed at the Pelican in their King Ocean view room (304). The view was absolutely spectacular and our patio facing the pool was super cute! First night we ordered room service from ocean 2000(restaurant on site) and it arrived quickly and still piping hot! My husband and I had a great time here and will definitely be coming back!"

I will stay there many times in the future solely based on the quality of Customer service and the accessibility of the owner/attendant during stay when I had questions."

"Beautiful, large, clean rooms. Neighborhood felt safe. Staff were very nice, but they are not onsite 24hrs a day. Everything in room worked well, but vending machine did not work. Nice restaurant behind the hotel that offers a discount while staying here. We are already planning our next stay here in October!"

"Overall, this apartment was a great stay. The space was very clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully stocked. The kitchen had adequate cooking utensils, and most items were good quality, which I value. One suggestion would be to provide coffee filters, as short-term guests may not purchase them; or consider a reusable filter for about $5 on Amazon. The hosts were extremely responsive and replied to messages promptly. However, the Wi-Fi did not work during the stay despite multiple attempts to connect. The hosts mentioned they would address the issue, but it was never resolved, which was inconvenient and required relying on mobile data. One drawback was the lack of storage furniture for clothing, which made it difficult to organize belongings. The larger concern was activity in the building’s stairwell. Groups gathered there drinking and smoking, which felt uncomfortable. On several occasions, there were late-night knocks on the door (around 1 AM and 3 AM), which was concerning and impacted the overall sense of safety. On a positive note, the location is close to Fort Lauderdale by the Sea. Once across the bridge, you can request a Circuit car, a free and convenient electric ride service similar to Uber. In summary, the apartment is well maintained and enjoyable, but there are areas for improvement, particularly Wi-Fi reliability, guest safety, and storage. With these improvements, this could be an even better place to stay."

"The room was clean and check in process was smooth. The management/staff was responsive to concerns. The A/C did not work properly but the fan made the room more comfortable. The kitchen was very clean and well equipped. Ample parking is available for all units."
