The entrance is just as striking in person. Check-in was smooth and friendly, and although we arrived early, we were delighted to be upgraded to a private pool villa. The villa was spacious, spotless and beautifully designed. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom generous and luxurious, and we especially appreciated the pour-over filter coffee instead of a standard pod machine. The only small drawback was that the TV system didn’t appear to allow HDMI access, so we couldn’t connect our own device. We had lunch at Lido by the pool — fresh, well-presented food and excellent cocktails. The pool area is lovely, set by the beach with attractive gardens and shaded areas, although there could be a few more sunbeds. Breakfast offered a strong mix of Asian and Western options. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at Praça. Overall, a stylish, relaxing stay and an easy five stars from us." Room was big, clean and the balcony day bed was lovely. Bathroom toiletries were available and there’s also a hairdryer. Pool was clean but there were the usual claim the sunbed people at 7.30am! The hotel is in an ideal place walking distance to everything and a laundrette in the lane. The gorgeous beach is opposite the hotel but you have to cross the busy road but you don’t really notice the traffic until you try to cross the road! Breakfast staff were lovely very polite, the food choice was varied and lovely.
