The 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath house is ideal for both a family adventure and a private getaway. Natural light streams in through the many windows, accentuating the beautiful woodwork throughout the home. No amenity is overlooked; the home also features a BBQ on the patio, a two car garage, and a mudroom to help keep your gear organized. Curl up by the stone fireplace on cool Teton evenings and enjoy peace and quiet, while you are in walking distance from the action in the heart of Teton Village. Winter guests: We strongly encourage 4WD or AWD vehicles in the winter due to snowy conditions and an inclined driveway. "Please note that the National Parks Service has construction planned for Moose-Wilson Road, affecting the closest entrance to Grand Teton Park, the Granite Canyon Entrance. We have outlined the closures they anticipate below: Through late July: open from 7 pm Friday to 7 am Monday, or the day after a federal holiday at 7 am. Late July through the remainder of the summer: open seven days a week with possible 20-minute delays. During the specified closures, access to the park is fortunately still possible through the main entrance in Moose. The house looks just like the pics, with a lovely deck - big table, powerful grill (clean and ready to cook!), hot tub (clean and ready to jump in!). Big windows everywhere. Loved the proximity to Jackson Hole resort - we climbed the Via Ferrata, and rode horses with the Teton Trail Rides, but only watched mountain biking from the gondola. We also drove to Snow King Mountain for alpine slide and coasters (kids enjoyed those). Grand Teton National Park was great. Didn't see any wild animals from the house, but saw hundreds of peaceful cattle as we drove by a local ranch. The house could easily accommodate two families with plenty of room to cook together and watch different movies, as each bedroom had flat screen TVs. I didn't mind all the choices of kitchen tools, since many rental houses don't often have nearly everything, for baking cookies & brownies, making big salads, and family-style serving bowls and platters for pasta, etc. And decent kitchen knives. That was great. A previous reviewer from 2022 mentioned the broken built-in microwave above the stove, and replacement microwave sitting on the counter. Well, it's Aug 2024, and the situation is still the same. Is the management (Outpost) or the indiv. property owner responsible? We reported the kitchen sink leaked when we hand-washed big pots. Let's hope the leaky u-trap pipe will be properly fixed for the next group. Despite these issues, it's still a beautiful house. ##### Teresa W. First the good, the house was very clean and the location was great, just a short walk to the tow rope which pulls you to the ski run. The layout of the house was also fantastic for a large group, especially the huge bunk room. The house was built well and stayed warm even though the temperatures outside were frigid. The management company was very responsive; unfortunately I know how responsive they were because they had to be called out to the house three times during our 6 day visit. No matter how good a management company is, they can’t change what an owner will not pay to update. At this rental price point, the property is in need of all new kitchen appliances both large and small, new glassware, refreshed kitchenware, new bedding and new pillows. The built-in microwave is broken so there is one sitting on the counter. The refrigerator has a water leak, the dishwasher broke while we were there and could not be repaired, and the range is sub-par, though to its credit at least working. Excess kitchen items, like 4 veggie peelers, dozens of steak knives, too many useless pots and pans, coupled with a lack of useful items like adequate thoughtful glassware and dishware convey either the owner’s disregard for the guest vacation experience or just plain laziness. Same can be said for the bed pillows, all of which left a lot to be desired. Hotel triple sheeting is used to make up all the beds, which in my opinion only works in hotels with daily maid service. It really doesn’t work when the sheets are too small and a regular comforter is used as the middle layer. A proper duvet cover with an actually duvet insert would be much cleaner and neater, especially with COVID concerns. Hotel triple sheeting on bunk beds absolutely does not work. Back to the management company, they brought us a brand new high quality pan, pot holders, and toaster when we requested, and even compensated us for the issues we experienced. However, I wish I hadn’t needed to find out how wonderful the management team was in the first place. That said, I would definitely hire them to manage my properties if they were in my town. ##### Lisa B. The house is great; spacious, well equipped and nicely laid out. The guest relations crew at the Outpost are very friendly and responsive. Our group of 6, aged 58 - 62 has been skiing together for 20 years. The ski-in, ski-out description is a bit overstated compared with other experiences in the past. There is a short 5 minute walk through the neighborhood on quiet streets from where the trail ends to the house. When headed to the slopes there's a T-handle cable tow that pulls you over the last 200 yards of level ground to the actual slope - a nice touch, but it doesn't open until 9:00AM, which doesn't make sense. It is handy after lunch, however but closes at 2:00PM. It must be said that there is little or no true ski-in, ski-out at JHMR. We were blessed with 6" of snow during our stay and the snow removal in the neighborhood and for our driveway was excellent. The only caveat is that the driveway slopes downhill to the garage in back of the home and there was no getting out for the entire stay because we had a front-wheel drive-only van. We asked the Outpost to have some sand or cinders tossed on the driveway, which would have solved the problem. Unfortunately, they have little control over the homeowners' association which decided to use salt and only made the driveway more slippery when wet and when it re-froze. The Outpost responded quickly by offering to cover any Uber or cab fares. We eventually drove out easily after spreading a bag of kitty litter found in the garage. Lastly, the heated garage was great for parking a car and storing our skis. We would rent this home again. ##### Chris S.
