All of our rooms are individual and even amongst the superiors they vary in shape and size but I can confirm that you were definitely in the quality and class of room that you paid for and we would never downgrade a customer and certainly not without explanation. Dear BrianYou have already reviewed us on Trip Advisor and as I said on that forum, I am at a loss to know what was wrong with room 21, it is a lovely large superior room and one of our most popular, lots of people request these courtyard rooms. We are a coaching inn, that is a pub with rooms, we are very happy with that and there is no masquerading going on. You made your feelings clear and left without giving us a chance to offer you an alternative room, which we would have been more than happy to do and we are very sorry that you were so unhappy.

Hi Thanks for taking the time to review us, and we are pleased that you were generally happy. The service charge is optional and we are more than happy to take it off, the vat is worked out on the cost of the food and drink but is never added on, it is always included in the price of everything you pay in any restaurant or food takeaway. What you are seeing on the bill is the vat itemised for business people who are able to claim it back. All food and drink prices on any menu have the vat included and there is no vat on service charge, I hope this clears up any confusion.
