SUSTAINABILITY
Embrace the off-grid experience as our glamping retreat operates on solar power. Our furniture and amenities are almost all FSC-certified, GOTS-Certified, handmade, and/or second-hand finds. A portion of the proceeds from each stay goes to Big Bend Conservancy to preserve, enrich, and conserve the unique resources of Big Bend National Park.
WEATHER/AC
Each tent has a split AC/heat unit that provides year-round temperature control of the bed area, and a large, radiant propane heater for additional warmth in winter months. There's also a large ceiling fan in the bedroom for an extra breeze, and we provide a fleece blanket and electric blanket in the winter. Do note that because they are uninsulated canvas tents, the indoor temperatures will never match the levels of a fully insulated home.
You can find average outdoor temperatures on Big Bend National Park's website, and we always recommend checking the weather conditions right before you travel to the area.
Our aim is to provide an authentic experience in the great outdoors while being as comfortable as possible in tented lodging.
SELF CHECK-IN
We are a self check-in property, do not provide daily housekeeping, and do not have staff on site but have property managers that live a few minutes away and are available to help with any guest needs.
