"We had a lovely stay in this grand 19th century villa with views front and back across the countryside. The rooms are all large with high ceilings and period style furniture, renovated in the style traditional of country houses we have used in Spain and Italy. Everything works and the kitchen is well equipped. There are fly screens on all the windows so the only mozzies are ones you let in yourself through the front door. We stayed during the June heatwave so made a lot of use of the 12x6m pool which was well maintained (no shallow end, we bought a paddling pool for toddlers, also pool towels not provided). Areas for improvement: more shade by the pool, preferably easy to move around; proper gate to pool for safety of small children (it is not close to house, but would be wise). The house had no soaps or detergents which you often find, just inconvenient to find after you have shopped before arrival. To address comments elsewhere: it was 36-38C during our stay. Each bedroom had a large pedestal fan and that made heat bearable at night - top room was 30-32C at bedtime. Mozzies outside: manageable, but Tuscany Tiger Mozzies require DEET all day, evenings cover up too. We ate outside every night with a few bites. Any questions were quickly answered by owners."

"It’s a great property. Clean and maintained. Wifi worked good. The fire grill was not usable. One of the things I was looking forward to use. But of course it was not for public use. The pool was nice and clean although the shower would need fixing. I’m probably nitpicking so ignore me. The place is great and the people are nice. Especially Filomena."
