We had close-up, personal encounters with monkeys that literally climbed onto our balcony—an experience you’ll never forget and one that perfectly captures how connected this resort is to its natural surroundings. Came back from an excursion late went directly our room and the bedding were off our beds. Seem to us that the cleaning crew came in started cleaning but just left and didn’t come back. Call front desk and with 15 mins had a lady come and bring bedding sheets and she cleaned our room. First time this has happened to us! Other than that resort was well kept and everyone very nice and helpful!

Just wonderful and only 12 dollars. Spent three hours following the trail round then went for a swim in the Rio Celeste just past the entrance to the park by a bridge. Heavenly.

Just as beautiful as it looks in the guide books. Costs $12 to get in and you can pay by card, plus 2000 colones cash for the car park. Get there early as they only allow 400 people on the trail at any time so that it doesn’t get too busy. We went at 8.30 and by the time we finished the trail at 11.30, the queue was huge and the car park was full. There is no need to pay for a guide, you just follow the clearly identifiable path. After the walk you may well be hot so, if you want to swim, go to the river just past the park entrance where you can go into the cool river. One of the highlights of our month long trip.
