"Had a wonderful stay at The Townhouse. Our host, Hugh, was marvellous. A perfect mix of friendly, helpful and discreet. His property is lovely. It is a beautiful old townhouse (as the name suggests) and whilst it has some small areas that need a little attention, it is full of character and very homely. We booked a small double room on the top floor and were really surprised at how lovely it was and it had everything we could have possible needed. The ensuite was beautiful. Hugh's breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous and his 'daily special' was a real treat. I wish we lived nearer, as I would regularly pop in just for breakfast if I could. Thank you so much Hugh, for an idyllic stay in your lovely home. We hope to return next year. "

"The reception staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. I left my phone charger at home and they lent me one for the weekend. The room was a single and clean, although the decor was dated (the description did say it was a Victorian building). I had breakfast both mornings at The Galley Restaurant which was an all you can eat. The food was hot and fresh and had everything you would expect for a buffet restaurant. I also ate in the hotel for the Saturday evening and was made to feel very welcome and at ease as a solo traveller. The food was nothing short of AMAZING! All in all, a lovely stay"
