Perfect for couples understand older B&B style (but with hotel privacy) European hotels. Partly remodeled with double pane windows, remodeled bathroom and AC - thank goodness, the hotel retains an old charm, including one of the few remaining 70-years old views of the sea, even from the 2nd floor, not obstructed by sky-rises. The bathroom inside key - keep it in there! -- reflects the authenticity of the stay.
It is one of the few remaining older style, that still enjoys a view of the sea. The walk up the coast for shops, and parks is wonderful. It is also near residential and other shopping streets, so overall it is quiet. Getting a taxi was easy. Breakfast is excellent, as is an outstanding dinner - which we decided to eat there a few times and were not disappointed.
The one downside, and this is a small one, for those who are taking tours and have to be out-the-door by 7:00 - they can't offer breakfast earlier. If you ask, you can get a baguette tuna sandwich for the road.
For those who want modern (or need one - it has no elevator), and "4 Seasons Hotel" modern style - want steak for dinner, and a buffet breakfast, and royalty treatment, this is not your cup of tea. But, if you want to immerse yourself into Tel Aviv, meet the locals (and a few movie stars who we saw eating downstairs), then I suggest you pass on wanting a lobby, buffet breakfast and try this great local hotel.
