We were a little bit scared about the previous reviews when we booked this room, but honestly was not that bad. The only real inconvenient thing was the bathroom, if I can call it this...this was all half meter, maybe less, all together toilet, shower and sink...Certainly not recommended for pregnant women or fat people!!!! (I have 65 kg and was very hard to rich the shower and toilet from the stairs!!!) The room was good, the bed comfortable, not perfectly clean, but not dirty. The Ac didn't work but we didn't need it because it was hot enough in the room. There is no TV in the room. They offer bath amenities, we had a room on the ground floor and we can hear everything from outside, but if you are tired is ok :). The property is near to the beach (5 minutes walking) and 20 minutes walking until Jaffa Old City.Very near to the bus station as well, if you print before a google map with the hotel, you will reach it very easy.Make sure that you save the address and have a city map.For the money that we paid I believe was not that bad.Israel is an expensive country and the good things at this guest house were that we were near the beach and center, we had a lot of restaurants near by, and we had in the room separate bathroom and a clean bed where to sleep.

Very disappointing. I was emailed instructions 2 days before I checked in. If don’t have access to email 48 hours prior, you can’t follow an elaborate set of details to even check in. I was emailed a door code to enter into a building to wait. There is nobody there to greet me. The instructions told me to WhatsApp a specific number (also in the email details) and sit in a outdoor courtyard until someone receives your WhatsApp message. If you don’t have WhatsApp, you have the choice to call an office. It was very hot and I sat and waited for someone to meet me to check in for 45 minutes. There are no restrooms or amenities while you wait, so good luck if you need to a restroom or water in the heat. I WhatsApp’ed 3 times and emailed twice before someone responded to me. When they did meet me in the courtyard, she was apologetic, but blamed a different employee because I told her I was upset for the bad and slow service. The room was exactly what I paid for, no frills. They advertise internet in rooms, but it is not true. My signal dropped in and out causing my phone to enter me into an international plan for $10. I was furious. The only highlight was a nice employee at another property who hailed me a cab next morning. Thanks Nina. In closing, this no frills room cost me 45 minutes in the hot sun while thirsty and in need, $80 US, $10 international plan I never intended. I am disappointed with Travelocity as well for not holding these properties to disclose the truths.

Peer Guest house was a very reasonable place to stay. Booked it last minute and it was much more affordable than most other places. You check in at the Peer Boutique hotel and then walk one block to the guest house. It was basically like renting a one bedroom apartment. I would book this place again

Cutest place in Tel Aviv
The guest house is so cute! The staff are wonderful, it's close to the beach and everything else. I would stay here again and again. It's my favorite place in Tel Aviv. I stayed in two different rooms, I moved rooms because of other noisy guests, there was nothing wrong with the first room. It was amazing. The second room was also great, I was so sad to leave. The outdoor spaces are marvelous.

It's not as good as posted on hotels.com . It has it own charm . The location is great , a lot of restaurants and the beach in a walking distance. The insulation is poor , you can hear every little thing going on in rooms near you . Had no hot water at all.

Very pleasant 1 night stay! Check-in was seamless too. This is a very quiet and private spot in a bustling part of the neighborhood which was much appreciated. Even though I only had 1 night here, the room had all the amenities you need for an extended stay.

Cheap hotel
Closed to the beach. The area around the hotel is kind of dirty. Watch for dog's droppings when walking in the area. 2 single very uncomfortable beds put together. Room was cleaned.

Room was nice, good location. Gap under door let a lot of noise through though. Wasn't any hand soap/body wash in the bathroom, only tons of shampoo, and the water was very hot and we were unable to cool it down at all. Staff, though friendly, was not very helpful. We waited outside the hotel with other guests for a while trying to figure out how to check in (there was no desk), and after calling the hotel, the check in guy showed up and told us we were supposed to have received an email explaining that we were supposed to go by a nearby building to receive our room key (never received such an email). The kicker though was that when we returned to the hotel very late, the outside door was locked with a code (had been open earlier) and we spent a while trying to figure out how to get in as the hotel was not answering the phone. We eventually got in to the check in building but since no employees were there, we checked around the main desk until we found a code for the door. In the morning, we were told that the code was included on a pamphlet which included our wifi password as well. We had not been informed of this and it seems like an important bit of information since we told them upon checking in that we were in a rush to go out. On the positive side, there was delicious free coffee in the morning.

An Experience to be Talked About.
The main hotel is just a great experience. This is a family owned lodging and hotel. They operate under two names. Peer Boutique and Peer Hotel, which is remote from the main lodging. The hotel I did not like so much. But it is great if you want more peace and quiet and more space. The Boutique is for me a 5 star. Rooms are very nice even if a bit small. However due to the small size of Israel, everything seems a tad small. Yet the land mass seems much larger as one drives across Israel. Tel Aviv did appear a bit dirty, with trash stacked surprisingly high. Could have been because of the holiday. I saw trash disappeared, but the smell of it, kind of hung around. This had absolutely nothing to do with the Boutique or even the hotel. The Boutique has maybe 3 floors with a roof mounted resting deck. Very nice. Overall, this was a great place to lodge and rest. My room had an unbelievable large claw foot iron tub. Nope don't ask me what room I was in, cause I am keeping that my personal secret. I have to go back and I do not want to be bounce from my special room folks. Ok )))

Misleading
It was not what I was expected judging by an on-line description and photos. The room (which was called "an apartment" in the hotel description) has only one window: to the toilet, which has no windows at all. Let me repeat: no other windows from the room, but to the toilet with a shower head over it! When I complained to the management, the answer was that they do not required by law to follow what they advertised.

It's doable, but wouldn't stay again
Pros: clean room and they let us store our luggage Cons: thin walls(can hear everything from the next room and the drunks outside in the middle of the night), took an hour for the hotel to figure out how to get the hot water working for our room (controlled by a timer outside the room and you need to wait 30 minutes for it to heat up), no reception at the guest house (you need to go to another hotel to pick up the key)

Great Location and Nice Staff
Decent hotel. It's not in the same building that you check into and it's not well marked...but not hard to find. Location is this hotel's best offering...it is literally in the Carmel Market. The staff was friendly enough. The shower is not separate from the rest of the bathroom, so everything in the bathroom gets wet when you run the shower. Not my favorite thing, but there are worse things. The walls must be really thin because you can hear every conversation in the hotel. The AC was ridiculously good!

Nice hotel close to the beach; hard to find
The Peer Guest House was a great hotel: it was just off the main area of the beach and a lot of restaurants, the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the rooms were well maintained and fairly spacious. Unfortunately, the hotel is extremely hard to find and most cab drivers (as well as friends who were trying to find the hotel) seemed to get lost trying to find it. In my case, the drive from the airport should have taken about 20 minutes but ended up being about 90 minutes. Also, the Guest House does not have its own front desk. It was recommended to phone the the Guest House to tell them that I was on my way so that they could let me in; however, as I was travelling, this was difficult because I did not have a working phone. When I phoned the hotel, the person that I spoke to was very curt and told me to go to the Peer Hotel and phone them from there. This proved to be wholly unnecessary (and very confusing) when I got there because check in for the Guest House is at the Hotel, which was never clarified.

Worth repeating
My comments are targeted to the traveler who wants to experience the life style of the country instead of a shiny hotel with all the luxuries. This place, located in an alley-street maze, suited us to a tee and the staff were cordial. We used the walking map they provided to find all the points of interest in the area.

OK as a transfer point or for overnight
The price of my room ($75) to product ratio was okay. You get what you pay for, and I am fine with that. The problem start when you get some extra noise that you didn't pay for. There was a lot of noise from a construction site next door that in a year or so will go away, and I understand that the hotel has nothing to do with it. The plumbing is really bad, noise wise, you can hear everything that run thru the pipes. I booked this hotel because of the price and location, those 2 conditions applied but there are many more places around that are worth checking.

Eclectic little hotel with wonderful staff
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. This time we stayed at the guest-house. IT is situated in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach. We love the staff. They are extremely helpful and concerned and are always ready to go the extra mile. Our room (on the 3rd floor of a renovated building), was spacious, spotless, and with eclectic furnishings. The beds are very comfortable, and everything one would need is provided. There are some very nice touches, like the two armchairs and table on the outside landing which provides a view over the roofs of the neighborhood, and is very enjoyable on a warm evening. We will definitely be back.

Better to pay extra elsewhere..
Hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating - unfortunately the rooms at Eden house (note - not the boutique hotel) were not nice, damp - no carpet on the floor, shower head over the toilet that leaked and created a puddle in the middle of the bedroom plus a 5 minute walk from the reception area. I must stress that the guy at reception who checked us in was very helpful and 'upgraded' us into a larger room as my elderly mother struggled to climb the stairs in the original room assigned to us.

Good neighborhood, bad room
This hotel is located in the Yemenite Quarter of Tel Aviv, near the Carmel Market. The location is great - quaint narrow streets, lots of nearby restaurants and bars, close to major thoroughfares. The hotel has a main building and a "guest house" about three blocks away. My room was on the ground level facing the street in the guest house. There were two rooms - a sort of kitchen-sitting room and a bedroom, with a VERY small bathroom. The sitting room had a day bed with no extra cushions and two uncomfortable chairs. There was a low coffee table, but no place convenient for sitting and relaxing or eating. Kitchenette included a refrigerator (with a dirty freezer section), microwave, hot water kettle and a very sparse set of dishes - only one bowl. There was a water leak onto the counter top and nasty mold above. I told the staff about this, but nothing was done. The shower head holder in the bathroom was broken. Had to cradle the head into a corner of the shower to sort of get it into a usable position. Walls were thin and windows poorly sealed so that voices and other sounds from the street and from inside the building were very loud, making sleep almost impossible.

Decent hotel for the price
Decent hotel for the price (which is low for the area). I stayed in a small studio apartment with its own bathroom. The bedrooms as fine, as all I was looking for for a bed with clean sheets. The bathroom was small, and the shower and the toilet occupy the same space, which meant that when I wanted to take a shower, the toilet would get water on it.

Pretty cool place....
The hotel is 'boutique', and the general reception, breakfast room, staff, etc lives up to that. It is cool, contemporary, friendly. The location is great in that it is in an old part of the city that is on its way up (ie still looking rough but becoming expensive). It is two blocks from the beach, two blocks from the market, and twenty minutes walk along the front to Jaffa, which suited us very well. The only negative is that the 'guest house' rooms, which are in a different building, you lose the 'boutique' feel. But the room was a good size, comfortable, and good value.

This hotel is very nice, especially if you are looking for something different from a chain hotel. We felt very welcomed by the staff and they were always helpful and nice. We wish we could have stayed and enjoyed a meal there as it smelled delicious, but time was short. We would definitely stay there again. The location is a bit tricky to get to. Be sure to read the small details as there are two buildings and one is checking in for all.

Disappointing
This hotel looked great to begin with, until I was taken to my room and found out that the bathroom was tiny, and that the showerhead was actually directly above the toilet. So, if you take a shower, you can forget using the toilet or really the whole bathroom until it dries off. Furthermore, during the night (from 3:30 AM), very rowdy neighbours were yelling football anthems and banging on our ceiling from above in what seemed like an intentional effort to disrupt our sleep and annoy us. They started again early in the morning and I notified the hotel manager, but they couldn't do anything about it. It was quite upsetting and made my overall experience at this hotel very unpleasant, despite the reasonable price, excellent location, and great food. To the hotel manager's credit, he did offer to cover the cost of my breakfast and allow me to extend my checkout time to make up for the disturbance.

Not a Hotel
This is not the " Bistro Hotel" as advertised. The Israeli cab driver, with over 20 years experience, had trouble navigating the small alleyways to even locate this place. The waiting room and Receptionist was very nice, check-in was very quick and efficient. The receptionist then carried my luggage, walked me out the front door, down the street approximately 2 1/2 blocks to a small locked door in an alleyway. No sign other than the address. We went down the alley, up a narrow staircase, to my room. The room was smaller than any I've ever been in (and I've traveled extensively in Europe). It had room for a bed, a 2 ft.² table, and a mini fridge. There was no TV, no dresser, and a 1 foot wide wardrobe closets. The bathroom was about 3' x 4', with a toilet, a one half size sink, and 2 ft.² shower. There was no window in the room (except a very high nonfunctional transom) and a very noisy air-conditioner. If you are looking for a college dorm room, this would suffice. If you're looking for an "boutique hotel", keep looking. Since I was only staying there in transit, for one night, it was adequate for my needs, but barely. I can't recall ever stay in hotel without a TV (at least not since the 1960s).

There's better
This hotel is tucked into a very weird area where taxis don't like to go and ours took a LONG time to find it. However, it's a cute little boutique hotel, but be warned, the cute hotel where you check in is two blocks from the guesthouse you have to walk to after you check in. It's also two blocks from the front desk when you need toilet paper or towels, etc. The front desk staff was very friendly at all times and great about getting us a taxi the morning we left. However, the room did NOT have a tv. I've stayed in hostels and even they have a tv in the room. Also, the curtain in the bathroom shower is not big enough and there's a caddy hanging on the rod, so you can't close it all the way, so the TINY bathroom floor gets wet and gross and it's wet the whole stay and the rug is soaked. Ick. The bed is a joke and is just a cheap mattress on some timber. The AC worked great. What really bothered us was the restaurant. The food was great...but when we went for breakfast the restaurant had 2 open tables that would seat 4 each and there were only 2 of us and the waiter told us they could not let us sit there cause they would need the tables for non-hotel guests who would come for breakfast and that we would have to have breakast sitting on the sofa in the lobby. Excuse me??? Seriously this happened and we had our breakfast in the lobby, hunched over a coffee table. It was really embarassing and people looked at us like we are aliens. I won't stay here again.

Horrible!!
Do not stay here! Inhave no idea why this hotel is rated so well here on expedia or on tripadvisor. We reserved a "superior apartment for 5" for a Friday night bachelorette party in Tel Aviv & let me tell you there was nothing superior about it! The actual apartment looked nothing like the pictures online, there were none of the amenities promised provides, i.e. no internet, no balcony, no hair dryer, etc. The reception staff when we got there consisted of 1 man who was so busy helping other guests with their issues we had to figure out where the parking was, park & then wait 30 more minutes to check in. Upon check in there was an issue as I had forgotten my passport (totally my fault) that was handled in such a ridiculously rude way I would have left right then except that it was my friend's bachelorette party night & we would have missed our dinner reservations had we needed to find another hotel. When we were finally allowed to check in we asked for a bottle of Cava or Champagne to be brought to the room, the recpetionist said it would be 30 minutes, it took over an hour. When we asked if we could purchase the nips in the dining area along with some juice the same receptionist said he didnt know how much they were so no we could not. The only positive thing about our stay here was that we were in Tel Aviv, other than that it was all around terrible!
