Beautiful location and great kitchen for a family gathering. Our family had a great time here for a few nights, we visited the glowworm caves and just hung out in a quite country location. Lovely.
We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Kids loved the farm animals. Responsive and accommodating hosts. And it was a great location for a short break out of Auckland. Only issue was that it was quite warm in the house even with the AC on.
We had a fantastic stay! The property was beautiful and immaculate. We stayed one night on our travels through New Zealand. Wish we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this property.
Everything we needed for our team planning retreat. Pity that the weather wasn't that good, so we didn't get to try the spa pool and fire pit area out. Would highly recommend.
Our family really enjoyed every bit of our stay. The house very clean. We enjoyed spa with amazing view with the mountain in the background. The host was very prompt in communications. I highly recommend this property.
This property was everything we wanted and more! There were 11 of us ranging from 10 to 68 years old. The house is set in the rolling green farmlands of New Zealand. It’s only about a 7 minute drive to a grocery store and centrally located to many fun places. (Glowworm caves and Hobbiton are each only about a 45 min drive away) There are chickens on the property and we were able to gather eggs each morning to add to our breakfast. The house had beautiful windows that allowed for us to enjoy the stunning sunsets each night while eating dinner. The owners were amazing to work with! They responded so quickly to every question and were a huge part of making this such a relaxing trip! I have stayed at many VRBOs and have worked with many hosts, and this one is one of my very favorites. Many houses can be beautiful, but when you are fortunate enough to find a beautiful home WITH an outstanding host, it makes all the difference in the trip! I 100% recommend The Barn and Bivvy to anyone looking for an incredible, family-friendly, peaceful home with a great host during your adventure!
We loved our stay at this farm away from the city. It was spacious and there were room enough for 2 families. 11 people total. Kitchen is equipped that we were able to have 2 dinners here. My little kids loved collecting eggs and feeding the chickens. They named the cows, Milky Way and Oreo. Animals weren't noisy and we could sleep just fine. We took full advantage of the washer and dryer since we had lots of laundry to do. Anyways, I can't say enough good things about it. The views were breathtaking. I keep asking myself, can I move to New Zealand? Bravo. I wish we could have stayed longer.
