Make sure you take time to read the hot tub directions as it makes all the difference in the world. Nice welcome package of snacks and so forth left by our host Gillian…
This was a beautiful property with amazing views. It had all the amenities we needed and was very clean upon check-in. The only downside was the other lodge mentioned in the description is very close rental lodge. They share the same patio deck, driveway and parking area. We had to shut all the blinds to avoid having the other people looking in at us. Other than that it was great.
Had an amazing stay here.
Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed!
Super clean, well equipped and very spacious.
Host was very attentive and responsive to queries.
The only thing I’d say (which isn’t even a negative) but didn’t impact negatively on our stay would be having it more secure to allow dogs to go out slide door within living room area to the back without worrying they’d wander off.
Will definitely return.
We had an amazing Christmas here and made wonderful memories.
Great location and beautiful views but not well stocked
We had a great stay and the location was very close to Oban which was convenient. However the kitchen was very lowly stocked. Generally with our previous experience with vrbo, there was at least some oil for cooking, which was not the case here. Also, the toilets work very poorly and required flushing 3+ times for even a minimal amount of toilet paper which was a bit stressful.
Wonderful place up on a mountain with a beautiful view. There were seven of us and each had a bed. The living area/kitchen was wonderful. It was great having a washer and dryer, and full size refrigerator. There was even a French press, coffee pot!
Beautiful lodge, spotless when we arrived in a stunning location. Nice and quiet and such a relaxing stay. The hot tub was great! Nice surprise for my husbands 50th
The house was clean, beautiful, and in an incredible secluded location with mountain views. We arrived to a welcome basket which was greatly appreciated. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was fantastic, and Gillian was very responsive and accommodating. Would absolutely come back again!
Great location for hill walking paddle boarding local walks . Views from hot tub fabulous! Property owner very responsive helpful thoughtful. Lodge good for 6 adults, but 8
adults might be bit tight . Next door property slightly bigger. Would definitely return.
Due to the weather we unfortunately didn’t arrive until late Friday however the lodge was absolutely beautiful and cosy for weekend. It was spacious and clean which is ideal as we spent most our weekend there due to how horrible the weather was outside. We would definitely love to stay again.
The property was beautiful and so were the views. Despite the wet weather we have a lovely week break, the kids loved the hot tub and having their own rooms! The host was very helpful and having met in person was very friendly :)
Very comfortable house in an outstanding location. Soaking in the hot tub, , watching the bats, gazing at the stars and the full moon over Ben Cruachan was special! Great accommodation, wonderful walking, and the open plan works well for a large family group.
Minor suggestion for improvement:
1. Adding a gate on the deck to allow dogs to access the fenced garden safely and come and go into the house without supervision.
2. Kitchen implements could be better supplied - thee were no sharp knifes, no mixing bowl, no jugs, not enough casserole dishes, not enough cutlery and one pot handle was broken when we arrived.
A fantastic lodge very well situated for our main objective of climbing Ben Cruachan. The hot tub was very welcome the next day!! The lodge was lovely, really welcoming, clean and well presented, a very pleasant place to spend the weekend. Good Wi-Fi pleased the children.
The lodge exceeded our expectations and was fully equipped with everything you could need. The location was fantastic, just a short drive from Airds bay where we went paddle boarding and nearby to some friendly local shops. Gillian and her team catered for our every need and were at hand to help whenever we needed them, couldn’t thank them enough for the hospitality they showed us. The hot tub is a great touch, and there is plenty of garden space surrounding the lodge. Extremely comfortable beds and a luxurious feel within, spotlessly clean and just amazing. We can’t wait to visit again!
Property is excellent in a quiet location. We had a great time relaxing with friends in lovely weather. Communication with the owner throughout booking and during our stay was excellent. We had an unfortunate incident with the water going off on our first night but the owner had her maintenance team out and the issue fixed within 20 mins. The owner also took it upon herself to replace the gas canister for the fire pit table when it ran out during our stay. The hot tub is in excellent condition and maintained daily and the property has a well kept secure garden area. My only area of improvement to this would be to have one of the entrances to the property opening into this secure area which make it even more secure for children and pets.
All in all though a lovely break and would most definitely consider booking again!
