Absolutely fabulous
The hosts are so attentive and welcoming from the minute you arrive. The Lodge and rooms are spotless and very comfortable and the view is seriously amazing!! A lovely private getaway - definitely recommend

The Lodge was beautifully located overlooking Lake Taupo. Richard and Linda were perfect hosts and were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area and what to do and see. We had a wonder stay and would highly recommend it to others.

The hosts are both very welcoming and hospitable, nothing seemed too much for Lynda. She is a brilliant host & always smiling ! I loved their idea of letting guests use their laundry facilities ie washer & drier ! An excellent thought to detail I think as most guests are travelling for 3-4 wks . Lovely evening canapés with wine where one meets the other guests and can discuss their travel etc . We met some very interesting people. Excellent views of the lake Taupo .

The wow factor of this property is undeniable and the common spaces are well designed and exquisitely appointed. Our room, however, as spectacular as it was because of the view, was lacking in practicality. There was a huge double sink in the bathroom which had barely any counter space to place hairdryers, shaving necessities or toiletry bags. The private balcony chairs were metal and not very comfortable. There was a small side table on which to set a laptop but just barely and there were no units with drawers. The bedside tables were metal and tiny, again very little space on which to put things. If you are staying a while, you basically have to live in your suitcase.

Hi Anonymous Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us and good to hear you enjoyed the spectacular views from the lodge. In building the lodge we worked closely with the architect to ensure all aspects of our guests' comfort and privacy were considered....a challenging task as we had to work around the many structural poles that give the lodge its unique style. The double sinks have a large storage shelf below as well as two full sized pull out drawers. There is a writing desk as well as the bedside tables you mentioned in each room and the wardrobe space has specially designed pull out shelving to accommodate suitcases. As you mentioned there are several shared living and outdoor spaces in which to relax and enjoy the views. Linda and Rick are excellent hosts! The lodge has breathtaking views and is most enjoyable to stay out. Rick is the chef and prepares wonderful breakfasts. Couldn't be happier! There are only 4 rooms at the lodge. We met the other guests and that added to our stay.

I have travelled extensively throughout NZ in the last few years staying at a large number of Hotels etc ,, Our stay at the Acacia Cliffs Lodge was by far the best experience yet

Gorgeous view, modern & comfortable boutique
Rick & Linda were wonderful hosts. Modern ad exquisitely decorated B&B with gorgeous views of the lake. Morning breakfasts cooked to order beautifully presented, followed by personal conversations about plans for the day. Huge bathtub but no bath salts
