Overall a good stay, clean and comfortable hotel. Having now travelled around Uzbekistan we can say breakfast was very good. A good selection of local hot and cold spread. The only annoyance is the entrance to the hotel is around the back and is difficult to find. You enter the main hotel through an area that is separate from the main building and the main door is always left open and unattended. It is an apartment complex with rooms. The rooms are all clean, no elevator just in case your on the fourth floor. Simple, you get a room with bed, clean bathroom, tv and a little fridge plus air conditioner. The breakfast is not appealing at all, needs major improvement. I stayed here for about 4 days and then travelled to another Uzbek city and returned back to Tashkent and this hotel around 10pm. The staff says they have no room on top of me confirming my hotel reservation the night before. Typical Uzbek response is they don’t know what to do. I told the guy to go to the hotels near by and ask them if they have rooms available. The staff guy runs out and comes back 10 minutes later saying he has a room at the Leader Hotel, right across the street. Now that place was double in price but well worth it for the cleanliness of the rooms, bathrooms and breakfast. The staff did resolve my issue but should not have gone through the change of hotel process.
