My room was perfect and enjoyed having bed light and socket above my bed for charging g iPhone. Flat screen tv w 400 channels including CNN BBC and others was the ultimate luxury. Being next to bathroom I didn’t here any noise. Bed was firm and towel exchange easy. Lots of storage space. Breakfast buffet at 7 or earlier if travelling and good variety. Receptionist guy and gal where so patient and helpful. Amazing staff to meet on first entering Close to banks phone restaurants. The Art Hostel was lovely, clean, and welcoming. I loved the style of both the courtyard and the hostel itself. Their bulletin board and staff are a font of information about traveling in Uzbekistan and are a terrific resource as is the email they send prior to arrival describing how to get to the hostel from the airport or train station. That was a lovely touch. The staff make a great buffet breakfast each morning with breads, cheeses, oatmeal, sausages, fruit, vegetables, coffee, tea, ... The staff is also very helpful, and all speak English. Though, their level of proficiency varies. The hostel is close to a number of restaurants, the Metro, a grocery store, and a UCell office for getting that all important SIM card, and the bulletin board has information about all of these and much more.
