"Die Einrichtung des Hotels war insgesamt in Ordnung, alles sauber und zweckmäßig. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist das sehr gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. "Management (?owner/operater) was rude and despite familiarity with 'translator' app a terrible communicator. Saving a 1* teview was the laundry and available (out of room) fridge. Perhaps it was a bad weekend...but smoking while talking at the front desk and 'cold-shoulder' vibes were annoying even considering cross-cultural differences! C'est la vie...but 'Choose your own Adventure' with this one!""

"Best hotel in China we have stayed! The room is spacious, well designed, staff really friendly. One of the staff picked us up on the day from the nearby attraction while it was raining and gave us a hot water bag to keep us warm. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, and they offer free laundry service too, recommended places to visit nearby for the following day. The hotel was originally a chinese ink making factory, and the room we stayed in was part of the originally design - they do daily...

Holiday Inn Express Huangshan Mountain South Gate By Ihg

8/10 Good
"The room was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, the service was good, and the breakfast tasted quite good as well. However, there was one issue that left me somewhat disappointed. After having breakfast one morning, I developed diarrhea. Although I cannot say for certain that it was caused by the breakfast, I did not eat anything unusual that day other than the breakfast, so I was concerned that it might have been related to the food, especially the desserts, which may not have been fresh or properly stored. I reported the situation to the front desk and hoped that they would take my concern seriously and at least express some concern. Unfortunately, instead of apologizing or showing concern, the staff repeatedly suggested that I might have eaten something cold and that this was the reason I became sick. I found this response rather disappointing. I am not trying to unfairly blame the hotel. I simply hope that the hotel will take guests’ concerns seriously, especially when they involve food safety. Even if the exact cause cannot be determined, I believe it would be appropriate to show concern, offer an apology, and carefully check the quality, freshness, and storage of the breakfast items. I hope the hotel will strengthen its management of breakfast foods, especially desserts, to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future."
