The property was a good size for a solo traveler or couple, with a nicely sized lot and a generally peaceful atmosphere. Deliveries were easy to receive, and the owner was approachable & understanding throughout my stay.There were, however, several factors that made the experience less enjoyable than expected. The property is accessed by dirt roads, and the well water had a noticeable sulfur smell. While the area was mostly quiet, there were occasional loud animal noises. There were also frequent visits from landscaping and maintenance personnel, including hot tub servicing, which made the property feel less secluded and private than the listing suggested.The home felt stocked more like a short-term hotel rental than a comfortable, lived-in space for longer stays. Basic cleaning supplies were not provided, which was inconvenient. Unfortunately, I was unable to enjoy the hot tub because the temperature remained too high for comfort, and I found myself wishing there had been a pool option instead.One concern was the smoke detectors, which seemed either improperly placed or overly sensitive for such a small space, leading to unnecessary disruptions. The property management experience could have been better, but the owner’s willingness to listen and address concerns helped offset some of those challenges.Overall, this property may be a good fit for guests seeking a quiet, simple getaway, but those looking for privacy, a fully equipped longer-term stay.
